Speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. Yes, all core series speakers support the same type of speaker wiring. Also, take note that when determining which wire gauge to use, consider how far away the speakers are from your amplifier or A/V receiver. Generally, for short speaker wire runs, a 16-gauge wire is sufficient. However, for longer speaker wire runs (to another room, for example), it is better to use a thicker, lower-gauge wire. A: AnswerYes and no. It depends on the design of the speaker and the amp. Usually a receiver is designed for speakers with a range of ohm ratings. If the speakers are wired in parallel (as described), the ohm (resistance) rating drops by 1/2 (assuming identical speakers). So if you have speakers rated for 8 ohms and a receiver that can handle a 4 ohm load, yes. If you have 6 ohm speakers, they would only be rated at 3 ohms wired together and would overload the receiver.Answered by Devoman

Great sound, great price.
Great sound at a fair price. The sound from this relatively small speaker is rich and full. Clear and with depth. I bought this to replace a previous speaker and the difference is vast. Solid choice for anyone wanting to help out their home Theater.

Plenty of potential with a few tweaks.
Bought this to match the sscs5's for tamber matching. Using the MultEQ-X app and REW combined gives me a flat response to create whatever house curve I want to use. Sounds extremely crisp and not to bright or boomy. Initially it was muddy sounding to me in my theater, after adjustments it sounds amazing!
