I ordered this because our rods and reels tended to get in a tangled mess when we had them all propped up in a corner of our garage. This works really well to keep them organized and it looks pretty good too. A few things to know:
It comes with three screws, which appear to be wood screws, but no anchors for them. So, if you are going to install it on drywall or a concrete wall, you will need to provide the anchors yourself. I installed it on a concrete wall and fortunately I had plastic anchors on hand that worked with the the screws that were provided.
For some reason it attaches to the wall with two screws on the left and only one screw on the right (see photo). No idea why it isn't designed with two on each side, but nonetheless it does seem to be secured firmly with no risk of it coming loose.
If you want to hang your fishing rods off the ground, you can do that if you snap them in at the thicker part of the rod. The holder will "grip" them and hold them up off the ground. I just mounted mine with the rods resting on the ground, as you can also see in one of the photos.
Overall I am very pleased with this fishing rod holder. It is far better than the tangled mess we had before, and my wife is much happier as well. Looks, and is, much more organized.
