Quick, small-er, efficient.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast for brewing. Can be considered too small, if more than 2 people drink. For 3 people, it's a one cuppa each. A lot of parts, but easy once you figure it out. Instructions are weak, still can't figure out if the porta filter holder is supposed to come off?? It would make getting the porta filter in and out easier and cleaning it and if coffee grinds spill over. The lever to brew and brew complete is wonky, better to leave in brew position or you'll forget and then you have a ton of water sitting in filter and not the glass pot.

Should be called a 'poor over' coffee maker
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you remotely care about the quality of your cup of coffee look elsewhere. The mfg calls this a pour over but it's a dribble over in one small area of the grounds. Granted, this was on huge discount when I bought, but I expected better as a 'pro series pour over' machine. See the photos for what I mean. The water dribbles over maybe 60% of the coffee grounds so a large portion of the grounds are utterly wasted. There is no infusion process to allow the coffee to bloom. It is immediately allowed to enter the carafe. The coffee is bitter and without flavor. It is only a 'pour over' because the filter is shaped like a cone. It doesn't distribute water effectively/evenly nor allow for the flavor of the coffee to be extracted. On the plus side, it looks nice and parts are easy to clean. And it does seem to reach claimed temperature so it gets 2 stars. But that's about it for pros. The parts are light, plasticky and feel cheap. I don't understand these stellar reviews...unless all people dump a boatload of sugar and cream in their coffee and have no interest in flavor or acidity. Even at a huge discount this thing is terrible.

Great value, very good coffee!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this Bella Pro when it was hundreds less than the “real thing” name-brand pourover machine. I figured, “Why not?” So glad I got this! It is efficient, consistent snd produces a smoith cup, instead of a Kalita which makes 2 cups, I enjoy double the cups and then some. Using great beans, freshly ground, you’ll save time and probably drink more coffee with this machine! Yes, the filter basket clicks into place weirdly and maybe this won’t last more than a few years…but it is such a value, just get it on sale and start enjoying a bit of life at the touch of a button.

Q: QuestionHow do you remove the filter holder for cleaning? Just received coffee maker and it is not coming off and I don't want to break it.
Asked by NJMom.
- A:Answer It twists off counter-clockwise. You do have to apply more pressure than you'd think, but it gets easier after the first few times.

Q: QuestionWhy is the on/off button flashing?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It's a reminder to descale the brewer. Special cleaning of your 8 Cup Pour Over Coffee Maker is recommended depending on the frequency of use and quality of water used in the unit. If water in your area is especially hard, the following cleaning procedure should be performed more frequently, since minerals in water can detract from the flavor of the coffee and possibly lengthen brew time. While brewing, if the BREW/OFF power indicator light begins to flash, then the 8 Cup Pour Over Coffee Maker should be descaled. Fill carafe with 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts cold water. Pour water and vinegar solution into the water reservoir. Press and hold the BREW/OFF power button for 3 seconds until the BREW/OFF power indicator light slowly flashes. The 8 Cup Pour Over Coffee Maker will begin the CLEAN cycle until all water has been circulated and the water reservoir is empty. The BREW/ OFF power indicator light will turn off when the descaling operation is complete. NOTE: Press the BREW/OFF power button at any time during the CLEAN cycle to turn the 8 Cup Pour Over Coffee Maker OFF. When liquid stops dripping from the shower head into the carafe, remove the carafe from the warming plate and allow liquid to cool for 15 minutes. Rinse the unit by brewing a full carafe of cold water. At end of BREW cycle, press the BREW/OFF button to turn the 8 Cup Pour Over Coffee Maker OFF. Discard water in the carafe. Wash carafe, permanent coffee filter, and filter holder in hot sudsy water. Dry parts thoroughly. When Coffee Maker has cooled, wipe exterior with a dry cloth.

Q: QuestionWhy do you have to open the lid to the brew basket to get it to bloom? Does that just interrupt the brew cycle until you close it? (Bella Pro Series - 8 cup pourover coffee maker)
Asked by Dave.
- A:Answer You open the lid to stop the flow of hot water, this is to bloom the coffee beans for few seconds, then after bloomed, you can continue the flow of hot water to finish the brewing process. This is like if you do french press, you pour a little bit of water to bloom the coffee on the frence press container and then pour the desired water for your coffee.

Q: QuestionCan you brew Ione cup at a time?
Asked by Brad.
- A:Answer Depends on how big your cup is . . .it states you need to add at least 5.50z of water. Remember some water evaporates, so 8oz won't be a true 8oz. Brewing with water at the "4" level gave me two cups of about 7oz of coffee.
