Better than expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t looking for much out of this second bedroom tv and was on the fence between the android tcl and the Amazon but better judgment prevailed as this has turned out to be a really nice unit. The voice activated Alexa built in has won me over and the picture and sound quality are pretty decent. Really pleased with this purchase.

Love My “Alexa” Fire TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this tv that, I am really thinking about getting a bigger tv at this point. The only reason that I’m not giving it a complete 5 star is because of sound . I would need a sound bar if I go big.

Q: QuestionIf I want to turn the TV on or turn a channel, Do I have to say- "Alexa turn on the TV, or change the channel'? If so, then what happens if I already have an echo dot near the TV?
Asked by Shannon.
- A:Answer Hi Shannon, Yes, you would give it commands such as " Alexa, turn on the TV" or "Alexa, change to HDMI 1". If you have an echo dot near the TV as well, I would recommend moving that to another room, or muting the device so that it does not hear you and get confused. Or you could change the wake word of the Echo Dot to Echo, Amazon, Computer or Ziggy and then it would not respond to Alexa. Hope this info helps. Have a great day!

Q: QuestionDoes this TV allow for the use of Xfinity App and the ability to watch Xfinity / Comcast without a cable box?
Asked by CJC.
- A:Answer I have an Insignia Fire TV that I bought about 2 months ago and I recently downloaded and installed the Xfinity App. All I had to do after that is sign in one time and it is working fine. It is not as easy to use as the cable box, but it is fairly easy to figure out.

Q: QuestionCan you used Alexa hands free if you have Comcast cable box, I have tried saying the channel number and the name of the channel and nothing.
Asked by Nikki.
- A:Answer Hi Nikki! To control your cable box you'll have to add it via the "Equipment Control" menu in your TV. To do this follow these directions from Amazon: Go to Settings on your Fire TV. Select Equipment Control. Select Manage Equipment. Note: Select Advanced Settings on this screen to activate or deactivate Automated Device Discovery. Select Add Equipment and choose the equipment you'd like to add. I don't have a cable box myself but I've managed to connect to and control all sorts of equipment using this feature! Hope this helps, have a great rest of your day!
