Keeps my engineer heart pumping
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Heats up quick, moderate volume, and can quickly tell you if it is out of water or needs to build heat. No leaks or pump issues 6 months in, and steams quickly. It can overflow the bottom water collection tray if kept unemptied for awhile, but that should be seen by me by looking at the plastic indicator.

On my second, so far so good.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received the first one and it started leaking from under the unit within a couple minutes of filling the reservoir with water. I couldn’t make it through the preparation steps without having a towel near the unit. Returned it a couple days later. I’m on my second unit for a little over a month now and it is working fine. I have noticed a temp difference when pulling shots whether I let the unit warm up a bit or run a empty shot. There really isn’t much consistency as far as temp goes, but it’s at least warm. I’ve only used Cafe Bustelo pre ground in the unit and it works ok once I adjusted the water output for the single and double shot. I’ve tried the pressurized and non pressurized cups and as suggested the pressurized cups do work a bit better with the coffee I’m using. I get a good crema on top most of the time and overall happy with the purchase compared to a Krups I had for about 8 years.

Amazing Quality and Performance
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced an 18 yr old fantastic semiautomatic German machine that finally gave up the ghost with this one, fearing a disappointment, and what a surprise! This is a quality build, easy to use and cleanup's a snap. Perfect espresso every time, rich layer of crema and at ideal temperature. Beautiful on the counter, precise fittings and quiet compared with others. Great value too. Love this unit, exactly what I was hoping to find. IMPORTANT TIP: Follow setup and first use instructions to the letter and it will pay dividends.

Great machine, I love it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a very good machine, top notch build quality and bought it with a big discount by creating a bestbuy account. It's my first expresso machine but I already have experience using my father's expresso machine during time (He owns many of them). The only issue with it was some scratches on the top that seems that the manufacturer tried to fix applying a similar paint. That not make me any difference so I decided to keep it.

I love this contraption
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little espresso machine. It is worth the money just make sure you take the time to learn how to use it properly. Makes sure you have a good bean grinder and grind your beans fine enough(change bore grind size inside your machine if needed) I love that the materials are good quality.

Disappointed.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so excited to finally got this. The box look so damaged when it arrived. I quickly set it up and can wait to make my first cup. I fill up the water reservoir and slid it into the machine. Almost instantly all the water has leak out to my counter. It had several crack and broken pieces on back of the machine!

Q: QuestionI'm referring to the 19 bar Brim espresso machine. I read a BPA chemical warning for this machine (prop 65). Can you explain more about this? Is it in the paint? Is it in something that the water goes through?
Asked by georgianna.
- A:Answer Hello, thanks for reaching out. The warning is concerning the power cord material. There is no BPA material used in the parts that the water goes through. Have a nice day. The Brim Team.

Q: QuestionThe instructions don't explain the measuring spoon very well. How am I supposed to use it? One full scoop is too much for the one-cup basket, but too little for the two-cup basket.
Asked by 384854095834905.
- A:Answer In my experience, the scoop is just that...a scoop. It's by no means an exact measuring tool. I've seen that most die-hard espresso fans measure the coffee by weight before grinding and tamping in the basket. For me, the scoop is just a plastic spoon to move my ground coffee around. I'm not sure there is a "right way" to use it. You can try different amounts of coffee in each basket and different amounts of water pulled through to make your espresso. This machine can save your pre-determined water amounts for brewing (that info is in the user manual). Best of luck!

Q: QuestionI have this machine. I notice that the non-pressurized basket is bigger than the pressurized using the tamper that comes with it. someone tell me why? Or tell me the size of the non-pressurized basket filter. Other thing, how to reset the auto-shot?
Asked by Ivan.
- A:Answer Hello, thanks for reaching out. The pressurized filter is bigger because it has an extra layer of steel to help focus the pressure. Dial In Single or Double Shot Volume 1. The Espresso Maker consistently dials in the perfect brew water temperature and measures the perfect volume for every shot. 2. To adjust volumes for future shots, press and hold the single or double shot programmable button for 3 seconds to adjust and to dial in future single or double shot volume. Example: to change the volume on the single shot – press and hold the single shot for 3 seconds, water will begin to flow. Once you have the desired amount press the button again to stop water flow. The new volume is now set, and can be re programmed at any time. Have a nice day. The BRIM Team.

Q: QuestionI'm confused by the pressure gauge. , the gauge rarely goes beyond the 9 o'clock position and the numbers are so small I cannot read what the pressure really is. On 2 occasions the gauge did rise to the non pressure range, is this broken??
Asked by Burrrr.
- A:Answer Its has to be very fine grind in order for the gauge to move up and if the gauge doesn't move that's mean the coffee grind is too coarse and I hope that's will help

Q: QuestionSeems that people are having problem getting Crema. My question is about the portafilter. Is this one of those portafilters that has a single little tiny hole for the coffee to filter through?
Asked by Roger.
- A:Answer The machine includes four portafilters. There is a single & double size, and for each of those, there is a pressurized (single hole at the bottom) and unpressurized portafilter (many holes at the bottom). In my experience, grind size and freshness of the ground coffee makes a big difference in the crema I can get with this machine. My best results have been with the pressurized (single hole) portafilters, but if I could grind a bit finer then the unpressurized filters may perform better...
