This thing is amazing! Super convenient that it folds down into the little Kerry case and it's later than I thought I would be. Perfect for locking up my giant mountain bike on the go! I only wish this was part of the bike warranty program. That is the only downside.

Better than you think

I love this lock. It is so much better than a chain and a separate lock. The shape seems to fit over and around poles that you would lock a bike to. I like the shape of the metal posts and how they attach to each other and bend to fit.

I plan to take this with me camping so I can secure a bike or other item I want to keep safe. I really like this lock because it seems very secure and will hopefully deter anyone from trying to steal from me. 

I would recommend this product. It is a bit expensive for a lock but if it works, stops a thief from stealing property it would be worth it.

Best Lock Ever!

This is a very great, heavy duty bike lock. The package comes with everything you need to mount it to your bicycle, and i love that it comes with an extra key. The mounting is very easy. Instructions are included and very easy to follow. I wish there were better instructions for how to lock your bike up because i have never had a lock similar to this so I was a little confused. It took me a minute to figure that out, but once you do it, it's so easy. You put the key into the lock, turn it completely, then slide the bottom piece out to open. Wrap the lock around your tire and frame, wherever it is most secure, slide the bottom piece back into the lock and turn they key to lock it up. One thing i do like with this company, is you can register your keys with Kryptonite and if you lose your keys, you can get a free replacement! That's awesome as keys do tend to get lost.

Great, heavy duty bike lock

This compact folding lock you can put on bicycle frame and comes with 2 keys. Attach to a ground object makes anyone think twice before trying to take the bike. I pick this for my brother-in-law has this lock on his bike. He is happy with it so I pick this compact lock for my bike. It is solid, looks well made. Easy Instruction and easy to put on bikes. Good Security Compact Lock

We originally planned to use this for our mountain bike. However after seeing how well this is constructed, we have decided to use on our utility cage on our boat that is docked. The padlock and chain we have on the cage has been cut and destroyed, which was fairly shocking to us because it seemed very secure. This lock is solid steel, and very thick, heavy and strong. I think this lock would be harder to cut through than a standard chain lock because of the width. 
It comes with two keys that you register on line, and if you ever lose a key, you can replace it for as long as you own the lock. The key lock is ultra secure, fitting in a barrier enclosure. Also included is a transport carrier that holds the lock. Hardware is included and the straps that secure it in place is a strong, heavy, durable type of plastic. The transport carrier is a nice bonus, and the lock folds and fits securely in the holder. 
This is really a great product, and we are pretty tough critics having tried many types of security locks.

Kryptonite is one of the best names in affordable and secure locks for your bikes and other small means of transportation. The TKO Folding Lock is a pretty cool lock that comes with 2 unique keys. Unlocked and unfolded – it's around 30” in length. When locked and connected – I'd say it's around 15” around – enough length to get through your main bike frame post, the rear wheel, and around a secure post. The thick heavy banding in this lock won't be easy to break or cut through. No bike lock will prevent any and all theft – but – this one is a pretty good deterrent device. Folds up nicely and stores really handily in its carrying case that comes with everything you need to mount it to your bike for easy storage and transportation. Kryptonite even has a KeySafe program that allows you to register your keys with them – so that if you lose yours – they will send you a replacement! Considered a medium level security lock – Kryptonite gave it a 3 out of 5 for security rating. Lifetime warranty. Weighs around 2 lbs.

Kryptonite TKO Folding BIke Lock

This cheap lock is one of the highest rated by a famous lockpicking content creator for securing bikes. The style of key makes it difficult (impossible without special tools and advanced skills) to pick open, and the well constructed steel plates make it cut proof. Some of the folding plate locks are easily broken by applying excessive force where the plates connect to each other, but this model has high quality rivets making that destruction method fail as well. This lock earns a higher rating from a professional than many locks in the $80-$130 range and is still compact and easy to use. 

I like that it includes the little cage to mount it while riding, and even reusable zipper straps if your waterbottleholder mount is in a location that wouldn't work or you want to keep your waterbottle accessory there. In my case my ebike has the waterbottlemount location on a vertical post, and if I mounted this there the lock would not be able to slide out of the holder without hitting another bar on the bike. The free accessory to mount it anywhere you want allowed me to easily solve that problem and just put it somewhere else on my frame.

Amazing Lock

This is a tough durable lock and more flexible than the familiar Kryptonite U locks. It is rated at a level 3 (out of 5) security, meaning it's pretty tough. For the lower security, you get the flexibility to fold it up for compact storage. More importantly, you are able to secure your bike to more types of stationary objects although it works best with a bike stand. It is 32” long and adds 29 ounces of weight to your ride (not insignificant). It has a key lock that looks unpickable, but you still have key to deal with. The key on my new lock was very difficult to insert. Still, there's no quibble about it being a good lock. It will defeat most attacks and is even better than the U locks at defeating attacks with scissor jacks. 

What is the mission you have in mind for your lock? What situation will the TKO be the best lock for your bike? The U lock is stronger, and the cable lock is much more versatile. Attached is a picture of a cable lock that can easily lock a bike to a post that the TKO cannot get around. The cable lock will defeat most attacks and if you park your bike in public view, power tools will not be practical for the average thief. If, on the other hand, you have a $5,000 bike, will the TKO or multiple U locks defeat the determined or professional thief? I suspect that only an enclosed trailer with a bulldog inside will work for your prized bike. My vote for the best lock is the Kryptonite New-U Evolution Mini-7, which is a cable with a small U Kryptonite lock.

Great lock with limited application

In case you are looking to put this on your Lectric brand bike, it DOES NOT FIT the bike lock mount on my Lectric XP3.0. I did get it mounted to my bike by using one screw in the top, and using the provided bar mount zip tie thing on the bottom. I'm not taking off stars for that, though, because it's not advertised for my bike. The Lectric brand lock is twice this price, so I decided to try this one because it was a lot cheaper. I did take one star off because while it's in the mount, it rattles a little. The mount should hold it a little tighter to keep it from rattling. Other than that, it seems like a very solid lock for the price.

Good lock for the price

This Kryptonite TKO Bicycle Security Compact Folding Lock is a well-made lock.

This lock can be mounted on the brazen bar or on the frame or seat tube.

All you need for proper installation is included with this lock.

Once the lock is properly installed, all you need to do is make sure you have the lock key with you to have piece of mind if you need to lock your bike up in front of a store, or wherever. 

Very secure and sturdy lock. Because it is made of steel, it does have some weight to it.

Well made product

This lock is heavier than I expected.  Also, the mounting accessories are difficult to use and very flimsy construction.  I had to make an adjustment to my original location and the plastic mounting bracket became unusable due to stripping the threads on the screw.  I contacted the manufacturer and have not rec'd a satisfactory response.
