Not only do I really love the Mainstays 3-N-1 heater, I am using it at this very moment while I write this review! It's small and compact - the perfect size to tuck under your desk at work. There are two heat settings as well as two fan settings right on top and easy to see. There is also a handle on the top if you want to take it from room to room. If you are looking to heat up an entire room, this is probably not the best heater for that - but for personal use or in a small space it can't be beat. 

There is a stone disc in the center of the heater that can be used as a hand warmer. I have not tested that feature out yet, but on reading the directions it seems you have to turn the heater off for a bit and let the fan run before you can safely handle the heated disc. It might be a nice feature for a child to hold after playing in the snow (with an adult handling the stone at first to be safe). 

The added bonus to this is the fun color. To me its more of a light aqua color than mint, but it's so pretty. I know I will get a lot of use out of this during the fall and winter.

Cute, small, and cozy!

Bought me one half off was a little bigger then I expected. I work in a office building and type all day long my hands are constantly in pain so the little hand warmer is the best part. I went to show one of my coworkers and it was discounted again everyone in my department now has it and I have Purchased eight myself for gifts and personal use I like that it's both a fan and a heater and you can increase how much the heat blows at you it's not just the radiator type. Keep in mind this is a personal heater not intended to heat an entire room so don't expect it to. Only thing I wish it had is the trigger thing that if tipped over it shuts off this one will shut off of internal heat gets to high still 5 stars bc I knew that before purchase.

I'd had a small heater for my desk in our office for the really cold days during the winter or for those late spring/early autumn days when the heat isn't on yet but I need something more than a sweater in the morning. This is smaller than I thought it would be & I didn't expect it to do much more than keep my hands warm as it blew warm air towards them on my keyboard. It was interesting that it also had a detachable hand warmer with it. My hands always seem to get very cold & this little round "stone" sounded fascinating. 

I had the opportunity to put it to use last week when we had a chilly morning. We don't put the heat on until we have several days with temperatures below 50, so one early morning at 39 degrees is cold but it warms up after the sun's been up a while. I followed the instructions for the hand warmer & let the heater warm it up. I was surprised that it heated up the space around me, not just the small space in front of it. As a personal heater, it works really well. I don't think it would do very well to heat a room, but next to you in a chair in an office or in a living room, it does very nicely. 

The hand warmer is a great bonus! As I get older, my arthritis tends to be worse in the cold & that makes getting them moving on cold mornings difficult. That little hand warmer is excellent! It's slightly larger than my palm & when I put it between my hands, it warm them both up quickly & stays warm for a few minutes so I get all the aches out of my fingers without having to use any creams or take any medications. 

It's very lightweight & has a flexible handle so can easily be carried from room to room. I got this as part of the Spark Reviewer program & I have to say I'm very happy with this item!

Perfect little individual heater!

This is a tiny fan/heater, as seen by the comparison picture to a standard small unit. But, it's an energy saver, which will take the chill off a room or keep it more comfortable with less draw on the ergs or whatever those are. However, it is designed for a desk area, reading corner or immediate use area to warm or cool just you. And, it is a cute little thing ... Ha

Cute little thing ...

With winter months coming on, I wanted a small personal heater to place near my computer desk. This little fan / heater combination is perfect for that job. It is just a bit smaller than a soccer ball. The heater has a unique feature. In the center of the front grill is a small magnetic disk approx. 3" in diameter. This disk heats up during use of the heater... and it can then be easily removed to use as a hand warmer. You can use the heater with or without the disk. I was surprised at how much heat this little heater puts out. On High, it put out approx. 150 degrees. I have a electric clamp meter with a HVAC temperature probe that is very accurate. I measured this little heater's temperature with it. It varied a bit depending on whether the hand warmer disk was attached to the grill. If attached.. the temperature registered a little higher because it was a concentrated flow. The only con is a small one.. in that the fan sound was a tad bit louder than what I had expected.. but it is not so loud as to be distracting. Overall, this is a nice inexpensive personal fan / heater that I will be using at my desk and do recommend.

Nice Inexpensive Personal Fan / Heater combination

This little heater works great for a small space, like a bedroom. It is quiet and very responsive on the digital touch. The fan function works great as well, on a bedside table. The hand warmer is not so great. It works in theory, but you have to heat it for 10 minutes, then let it cool for 5. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Also, the magnet that holds it onto the front of the heater should be stronger. It very easily gets knocked off.

I wish it had more than 2 settings for the fan and heater and that it'd rotate but I do like that its small and compact and doubles as a fan and heater. The hand warmer that is removable doesn't feel necessary but its interesting. I like the design and the handle that can be folded out of sight. Its a nice portable heater fan for an office

Cute portable heater and fan combination

This is a nice little heating unit; I use it at work where I sit by the building's HVAC outlet vent so when the main buildings HVAC kicks on it can get a bit cool. The unit is stylish fitting in to today's office environment, it runs quiet, but puts out a decent amount of heat. At low heat the unit uses about 200w of power and high heat it's 400w of power. Fan speed is low and high. When using for heat I prefer low fan speed as high fan speed seems to self-defeat the heater by cooling the air down a bit. But if you're looking to cool down then without heat on, the fan at high speed works great. The buttons are touch control so very easy operation, although the beep indication when pressing a button is a bit loud. One thing I'm not sure is the handwarmer, my hands don't get cold so I don't use it, but it strikes me as a marketing gimmick and nothing more. If your hands are cold wouldn't you just hold them up to the heater? Plus, you have to run the unit for 10 minutes to warm the hand warmer, then let it cool for 5 minutes, seems like a long process to me. And I found the handwarmer didn't stay very warm for that long, maybe 3 to 5 minutes at most, so really not sure of the purpose for hand warmer other than just a gimmick feature. Regardless of the latter, this is a nice little heating unit and does the job if you're looking for something on a desk or counter and will be within 3-4 feet of the unit.
