My daughter and i had so much fun playing this house of danger game! 
There are so many twists and turns this game really keeps you edge. There are alot of fun choices as you literally pick your fate.
 This game is based on a book so its basically a book in which you navigate through based on your choices. There are 5 chapters to this game. Each chapter takes about an hour to navigate through. While some story cards give you optional challenges to win extra clue cards, other story cards will just give you options of the path you wish to take. Depending on your choices you can lower or raise your danger meter and phycic meter. Some of the clue cards you can get give you items you may need in future chapters of the game to help you get in or out of places or even to help protect you.
The whole object of the game is to figure out what the cause of your reoccurring nightmares are. You know the source of it from bits of the dreams which leads you to the house. The choices begin when you find the house.
We spent about 5.5 hours from start to finish on this game, taking breaks of course! Its a game thats very intriguing to where you dont want to stop playing until you've finished! I definitely recommend this game for middle school age kids, as mine is, as well as older and adults. I very much enjoyed playing this.

So much suspensful fun!

The House Of Danger game from Choose Your Own Adventure was a fun game to play with my kids. The instructions for how to set things up took a few minutes to get through. But once all was set up the way the game moves is quite self-explanatory, much like a Choose Your Own Adventure book. The game's story is split up into 5 chapters, each with its own deck of cards for events. The chapters can be played in separate sittings or all at once, depending on how long of a game you want. It is a fun game for kids who enjoy decision-based books and imaginative play.

Fun Game For Big Kids!

We played this over the weekend during family game night. It was fun for the entire family, including my seven-year-old daughter even though the game is for ages 10 and up. We really like how there are different endings that can happen and how each Adventure is different than the last. Wasn't one of those games that take forever to play but then again it's not one of those games that is over with quickly either. Everyone had a great time playing this oh, and we will definitely be playing it more often.

Fun for everyone!

This game is so unique and fun. It really pulls you in. It seemed a little overwhelming/confusing at first but once you start playing, it's very easy to get the hang of. We have only made it to the third chapter (each chapter takes about an hour to complete). My kids enjoy playing this game just as much as we do. They are 9 and 14. You likely haven't played a game like this before. If you like mystery and detective gameplay, give this a go!

Addictive!!!

This game is unlike any other I have ever played and for that reason it was a big hit! It reads like a story and is greatly immersive and interactive. It truly is a create your own adventure. It was so much fun discussing our next move and seeing where it would take us. It also had just the right amount of components (collecting items and premonitions, etc.) that it made it multi-dimentional. I was a little apprehensive about the ability to play it multiple times (as you know the results of your choices after playing) but it seems to have so many options and multiple endings. I believe we will enjoy playing a few more times! Overall it was a big hit!

Kids, Hubby, and I love it!

Game nights have just been updated with this House of Danger Board game. This game is intense and keeps you on your toes while working your brain to figure out how to beat and stay ahead of your competitors while not scaring your socks off. We cant wait to play this again on Halloween night. I will recommend it to my friends and family for a scary adventure.

Adventure pack

The House of Danger - A Choose Your Own Adventure Strategy Board Game is fun for the whole family. My kids love playing it because you have so many choices that you can change your outcome every time. Its a perfect game especially for those 9 to 12 years old. The choices are mostly numeric, but there is a touch of freshness with the addition of extra cards and unique choices for them.to follow. This can also be great for adult themed parties to play. This is based off of books and very similar to the books to play. The quality of the print could be better in the game but they look decent enough to play. I think they could be more vibrant and colorful to liven it up and hopefully not fade with age. The directions are not the easiest to follow I had to more or less search online how to play this because the directions can get confusing at times. The one nice thing I find about this game is that you are not really competing against each other but instead your are competing together to beat the game. This kept the kids busy for a while playing it .

Fun for all

House of Danger - A Choose Your Own Adventure Strategy Board Game is an entertaining adult themed game that would be great for an adult themed party. It is well-made and appealing to people who like mysteries and danger. The recommended age is 10 years and up, this is appropriate only if the child is a “mature” 10 years old and appreciates this theme. I would also recommend playing with others just to add excitement and more reactions. I would recommend this game to others.

Mature game for adult entertainment

As soon as I opened this up I was taken back to my childhood. I loved these books and they kept the same look and feel as the originals. I was pleased with the overall quality as well, it come in a very sturdy box and each piece has it's own special place. The cards are wrapped in by chapter making it easy to organize. If you enjoyed reading these books you will enjoy the game, which essentially the same thing only in group form. There are five chapters and you can choose to play one chapter at a time and come back, or do multiples which will result in a very long game. You can also play just one player which is a fun idea as well. 
Overall I gave this four stars due to the fact that you really have to enjoy reading to enjoy this. It is not in the form of what a lot of people would consider an actual game, instead a fun group reading adventure.

If you loved the books, you will love the game!

SO I tried to play this game House of Danger a few times now and what I have read I enjoyed. I read the directions several times and attempted it but just not sure I really understand how to play it. I have never heard or read the books. I am lost it could be a fun game once I really figure it out. The box it came in is nice, sturdy and compact and everything has its own place. The cards are very durable and well made. Hopefully when I play the next few games I will get it.

House of Danger Game

I have never read any of these books, nor has anyone in my household so I guess that's partly why we just couldn't seem to enjoy this game. It's basically like reading a choose your own adventure book, only you are doing it as a group. You can play alone, so I guess if you are a fan of the books, this is the game for you. We did give it a try on a Friday night with everyone home, but we gave up after about 20 minutes.
