Thus far the replacement works as intended and really well I'm very happy. Let's see how long this lasts maybe they'll last for the normal amount of time that these products last. I've also noticed that in the replacement the bees both wings vibrate correctly. The bee in the now returned pollinator had only one wing vibrating. I hope that only some of these units are defective. The time in due time will tell.
Old Review:
When I got the bee it would make a bit of noise. Then it would periodically work when I would touch the switch. Now it hardly works and it stopped at one point. This is not the batteries there is some kind of defect internally. I'm really not happy with this product. The intent is cool when it does work. I'm nearly out of 15 bucks for an expensive item that's like a toothbrush.
Appended Review:
Since my review was last posted I now have requested an exchange. I'll give this item a second chance.
A couple of years ago I decided to try tomatoes and eggplants. They did not produce much fruit, despite my following the instructions to use a fan to help pollinate the plants.
Last year I messaged Aerogarden on Facebook to question why I was not having success. I mentioned that I was using a fan and my plant only produced a handful of tomatoes and eggplants. It was suggested that I buy the bee pollinator. I honestly thought it was a gimmick but bought it none-the-less as it was cute.
I started growing tomatoes and eggplants a couple of months ago and have 1 Aerogarden with tomatoes and 2 with eggplants. I use the bee pollinator daily for a minute or two. It is a simple tool to use, just place the bee wings into the open flowers, turn it on and go from flower to flower. It is quick, easy and takes little to no time.
I cannot believe the difference this bee pollinator makes! I currently have more tomatoes and eggplants that I have had in the past, and this is only my first set of flowers from the plants.
Get this, you will not be disappointed !

Well, yes and no.
When my tomatoes bloomed, I grabbed 2 AA batteries, put them in correctly, and pushed the on button. Bzzzzz! For maybe 30 seconds. I managed to vibe 1 small cluster of blossoms. Opened up the battery compartment & changed batteries (just in case the 1st set was somehow damaged or drained or had been sitting around the house too long.) and tried again. No buzz at all. Got out a pair of brand new batteries from a package I'd bought a few days a go. Bzzzz! Yay, back in buzzzzness! Well, sort of. Again, after just a few seconds, it stopped working. Opened it up, checked the batteries were secure & in the right places. Pushed the button. Nothing.
Feeling a bit let down and annoyed, I resorted to threats and slight corporal punishment-- slapped the battery-end into the palm of my other hand and firmly told it "buzz or you'll be recycled into a plant stake!". Must have worked, since I pushed the button and it started buzzing nicely. I only had to spank it a couple more times to finish with all the tomato blossoms.
I'm giving it 3 stars for the cuteness factor and entertainment value-- I'd have given it more stars for being easy to use if I hadn't had to mess around trying different batteries and spanking it. I don't feel I really got good value for my money. Next time, I'm going with an electric toothbrush as is recommended in several of the books I've read on hydro gardening.
Sadly, I just can't recommend this product, and I wouldn't buy it again.

Just wish the on button didn’t need to be held continuously
