A Cut Above the Rest

Dominating the everyday carry, folding pocket knife market, Kershaw creates high-quality, high-performance, exceptional, working tools and knives affordable to all consumers. Kershaw always chooses top notch materials and is dedicated to the craftsmanship of hardworking pocketknives, hunting knives, or special collectors’ editions.

Kershaw

Kershaw’s advanced technology and innovative design combine to create solid, crafted, reliable knives users are proud to carry.

Attractive Blade Finish

Kershaw’s Bead-Blasted finish enhances a knife’s aesthetics and complements its end-use. The high-tech finish is achieved by applying a mixture of fine media onto the blade’s steel under high pressure, creating a smooth, non-reflective matte surface. Fine media includes glass and aluminum oxide beads that allow color variation and optimal performance results for an overall stunning effect.

Secure Locking System

With two steel plates, or liners, on the inside of each handle scale, the liner locking system safely secures the blade open and prevents unwanted blade closure. The lockbar butts up against the blade’s backend to prevent closure, and angles or is bent towards the blade tang creating a bias locked position. Apply manual force to move the lockbar to the side and fold the blade back into the handle.

Fast Deployment

Using a torsion bar to move the blade out of the handle, Kershaw’s revolutionary SpeedSafe Assisted Opening system enables smooth, secure, fast one-handed blade deployment. Apply manual pressure to the flipper or thumb stud with a light push or pull back to overcome resistance of the torsion bar, and the blade opens smoothly and locks into place for confident handling without premature closure.

A Knife like no other

Clip

One-Handed

Convenient Pocketclip

Kershaw designs pocketclips to fit specific knives according to their weight, intended end use, size, style and hardware. Some knives have multiple carry options, others are more streamlined. A pocketclip with tip-down carry is positioned so the closed knife carries in the pocket with the tip of its blade pointed down. A reversible tip-up or tip-down pocketclip allows user to change tip position.

Durable Handle

Very tough, able to take heavy-duty hard use, and versatile, glass-filled nylon handle material is a nylon synthetic polymer reinforced with glass threads for increased strength. Glass-filled nylon has incredible stiffness for a secure and stable grip, great ability to withstand heat, and dimensional stability combined with excellent wear resistance.

One-Handed Flipper

Knives with SpeedSafe open have two options for one-handed blade deployment. To activate the smooth, instant open, user can push a thumbstud or press a flipper. The flipper on SpeedSafe assisted knives is easy to operate by both left- and right-handed users. And, once blade swings open and locks into place, flipper either disappears for aesthetics or remains visible for added finger protection.

Product Description

The Kershaw Grinder is designed to be put to work. It offers a blade with a slightly curved belly for all-purpose cutting and slicing. A clipped, tanto-inspired tip offers excellent piercing capabilities, too. If you need to bear down on the back of the blade during a particularly tough cutting job, the concave spine with heavy jimping provides additional grip security. The work-ready blade is made of 4Cr13 steel for solid service. The pocketclip allows for reversible deep carry, for easy storage when not in use. You can look to Kershaw for everyday carrying knives that can tame any cardboard box and liberate any purchase from its plastic packaging, sporting knives that make hunting, fishing, watersports, and camping even better, work knives that won’t let you down, and tactical knives that ensure you’re ready for anything.

Folding Pseudo Seax
Not a bad take on a Seax knife in a folding version. 3.5 inch blade from 4Cr13MoV. Not the best steel I have played with but for the price it is a good option. Nylon plastic scales over a metal frame secured with star screws. The scales are lightly textured giving you enough to get a good grip but not to much that it stall in your pocket. The handle has some width to it making it substantial in a pocket. Thant width also fills out your hand well and is not a bad tradeoff. The blade came decently sharp and has a bead blasted finish. There is a slight curve to the belly of the knife. The more traditional Seax is a straight edge. Jimping on the back is not deep not sharp but doesn’t catch on your pants when you draw it and is sufficient enough to give a purposeful grip. It is an assisted opening knife that is under a fair amount of tension and snaps open well. I tested it 100s of times and never had it not fully deploy and lockup. The lockup is great covering to almost center of the blade. Made in China and is amazing at this price point. Overall it makes a nice daily carry.
