We are big fans of family movie nights. We like to use the projector to watch movies outside, drive in style. This projector provides a wonderful picture and sound, making us feel like we are in the theater. With the simple addition of an HDMI cord, we were able to connect the projector to our home computer and stream from any service we have. The kids love it!

Family Movie Night Upgrade!

I'm not much of a TV watcher, but my husband loves his new toy! He reports easy to use and a joy to watch. Advancing years sometimes makes things hard to see and he loves this huge view he now can enjoy!

HUBBY LOVES IT!!

We spent a Sunday afternoon with family, looking at old photos I had saved to a flash drive, just by plugging it into the projector. It is controlled either by the remote or by controls on the projector itself. Great for watching old home movies on a DVD player, and just as good for gaming. A screen would be nice, but we have a perfect wall which works just fine for us. Our kids and grandkids alike are already asking to borrow it!

Fun to watch; simple and convenient to use

This Ematic projector is fully adjustable in many ways, lightweight and super easy to hook up to your laptop or other media source. It allows you to make any room or patio area in your house an instant home theatre. There's a knob on the bottom front that adjusts the height or angle when it's used on a tabletop. You can also suspend it from the ceiling and either choice you get a great picture on the screen from the front or the back. The controls on the unit are easy to understand but you also get a remote to simplify it even more. This will be perfect for a movie night outside by the firepit with friends and some smores.

Versatile projector

I was looking into getting one of those projectors for a long time to have a movie night or a gaming marathon with our friends. I am glad I received this Ematic 150 HD-Pro 720P Multimedia Theater Projector. It is so easy to use. The standard resolution is 1280 x 720. The projection distance is 1.5 to 3.5 meters or 4.9 - 11.5 feet. The display is up to 150 inches and 50dB sound make a great video experience. The projector comes with a 2 AAA battery operated remote so you don't have to stand next to it every time you need to press buttons. It has a sleek white design and fits into any decor. We have been using it every day for almost a week now and so far we love it. I also took it to work once for my presentation and the coworkers said it was so a great experience. Much better than looking at the tv screen.

Great projector

It is very easy to use basic projector with a sleek design, which works quite well. The ideal projection distance is about 10-15 feet. The projector comes with a battery operated remote, which makes it very easy to operate the projector. The volume of the projector sound is good and very clear which makes it a good choice for watching movies and other videos.

 

It is very easy to hook-up which makes it great to connect with different media sources with two HDMI ports, a USB as well as VGA port. It can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on the ceiling based on where you want to project from. While mounting on the tabletop, you can use the knob at the bottom to adjust the height or angle.

 

It has basic audio and video settings, which are understandable for a simple projector. However, the projector does not come with any cables and is not suited for a large room. That is a minor drawback but something that you can live with in a basic projector.

Good basic projector

The Ematic 150” HD-Pro 720p Multimedia Theater Projector (EPJ720p) is a simple projector that could fit any office, gaming, and theater requirements. Picture quality is fairly clear. It has standard resolution of 1280 x 720. There are two HDMI input ports, and a USB 2.0 up to 1000GB. It comes with a remote control, which needs two AAA batteries. The coarse and fine adjustment knobs are somewhat clunky and it takes a while to get the picture just right, but when you do, you certainly appreciate the expansive image. I did have trouble getting the very bottom of the projected picture to crisp up. Only a sliver was not perfect. It was not blurry per se, but if you are a movie-subtitle kind of person, you might notice it more than others, especially on the letters. I was left feeling if I should sacrifice the bottom sliver or the top. This might have been corrected by physically moving the projector; it is a minor problem. Regarding color, it is all right. There are a few preset color qualities, but I simply left it on the standard setting, as I did not feel adjusting the settings individually made much of a difference. The projector fan is noisy. This might be an issue for some depending how close they sit next to it. The noise level is 50dB. The user manual that is included is very helpful in both setup of the projector and explaining all the features including viewing options and image adjustment, and connecting to other devices.

This is a decent projector. 
Setup was pretty easy and I used my laptop to project movies from Netflix. There are a bunch of other input options including HDMI, VGA, USB and micro SD. USB and micro SD aren't so useful as that requires movies to be downloaded to these devices and no body really does that these days but doesn't hurt to have those options. 

The projector is small and hence portable. It is nice that there is a little adjustment screw at the bottom that you can use to adjust the elevation level / angle. There are also settings that allow for changing image corners so the image is not distorted. It can be mounted on ceiling as well as setup on the table. I am using it on a table for now. 

Remote is handy but I didn't want another remote to worry about so I used the settings on the projector itself and was able to manage all controls. That made me very happy. 

We set it up in the basement for now and watched a couple of movies with the kids already. 
The projector has its own speakers and if you don't want an immersive experience you can technically use them but in my case I ended up connected the sound-bar and that did the trick for me. 

The picture quality is okay but that's obvious from the tech spec so there are no surprises. 
There are no cables in the box so you would at-least need to buy an audio connector and an HDMI cable. Most households will already have these cables so not a big deal.

The fan does make some noise but if you are watching a movie with loud volume, it will get suppressed. 

Overall a no-frill decent starter projector.

No frills decent projector

I finally received this item after a long delay. The box was sort of messed up from shipping roughness but the item's inside were packaged very well and everything was just fine. I like to have movie night out. Literally outside when the weather is perfect. I will have the grand kid's as well as the rest of the family over for movies. Of course, we have a nice cookout before movies. This projector is easy to set up. What we do is rent a movie, hook up the projector through my laptop via HDMI cable, and play through the laptop DVD drive. It really works very well. The sound quality isn't much so I play audio through my laptop audio out through my external amplifier and speakers. Wallah, audio is great and has theater sound. The picture quality is sufficient, though not great. It's not bad though. I made a frame out of PVC pipe and mounted a nice new bed sheet to it. I don't glue the pipe so it is portable for storage. The adjustments are very easy to use. The only real drawback is that I wish it was powerful enough to move further back from the screen. The remote makes everything much easier to use as well Also, there are no cables like A/V or HDMI come with the unit. The only reason for only 4 stars is no cables and distance from screen limitation. Other than that, this projector is well worth the money.

Great at first. Fun to watch, great quality. But after using 10 times it stop working. Thats what we get on the wall instead of picture
