I doubt it. Replacement cables are not expensive, however, and are generally better quality than the original equipment, with teflon lined outer cables and much smoother innners.

Will the cables (length) allow for me to change the handlebars out to 5" sunlite riser?

Did a lot of research and found the Kempo would cost ~$550 at a bike shop with comparable parts (Shimano derailleurs, rotor brakes, aluminum frame, 21 speed, fast firing gears, 700c, etc).  Had it shipped to my place and entire bike was well packaged, no holes in the box, brake rotors even had covers over them.  Very nice.  
Bolts already had grease and threadlocker on the ends which was very surprising considering how many bike forum members' recommendations against buying a Schwinn.  Assembly was easy and the derailleurs were in decent tuning from factory.  If you want to find tune them, I recommend watching the "Park Tool" guides on adjusting them.  Paint job is excellent and brake calipers work great.  Only thing I would consider upgrading so far is the seat as its a little hard.  Other than that, the value is awesome and anyone who is a casual rider or would like something less expensive to commute in, the Kempo is an excellent choice.

Hybrid bike that'll turn heads

Great bike. I recommend NOT having Wal-Mart assemble this bike. They unboxed and assembled it without me asking and broke the front quick-release, gouged the fork, seatpost and crank. The pedals were also cross-threaded with metal shavings all over and sharp pieces hanging off. Enough said. This was replaced and I assembled the new one with no issues. As some reviewers noted the stem is rotated 180 degrees, this is normal when shipping. It was adjusted to about 90%, with only small adjustments need for brakes. Overall great bike and incredible value. Fast and smooth riding. Color is much nicer than represented.
