Lots and lots of small, welcomed , appreciated details.
Goes very well together, the paths are continued between both sets.

Please release a 3th one to connect with the first 2 kits.

Wow ! Ninjago city

The moment I found out that Lego was building an attachment to the Ninjago City set, I knew I instantly had to have the Docks. When I finally purchased it, I was not disappointed.

The differing levels of the sets fit in nicely with its parent set, and the attention to detail is just as good as well. I nearly fainted from excitement when I saw they put in the island of Mata Nui from Bionicle, Johnny Thunder and Junkbot as cameos. 

The numerous minifigures were unique, some being minor supporting characters from the movie, while others are fan favorites from the TV series. Although, the designers could have done some more unique variants for Lloyd and Garmadon's figures. I have about four figures of both ninja Lloyd and capeless Garmadon, and that can get old really fast.

All in all, Ninjago City Docks is a great set that any Ninjago fan should have.

One of the best sets Lego has released to date

This set is brilliant. It's so good it makes the Ninjago City set look even better. 

I did find it a bit tricky to build. The designers have opted to build some walls brick upon brick and then only securing them (to adjacent walls) at the very top. This of course makes the build some what unstable for a short period of time. I do think younger builders may find this a challenge. 

The colour scheme and decoration elements are fantastic. The stickers are less than 60 so a massive improvement on its predecessor. 
It comes with a large amount of Minifigures although I do find it super tedious getting the same Lloyd and Garmadon figures over and over and over again......yawn. 

Other than that I really hope Lego make another addition to this theme.

Love this theme and it's goes perfect with the ninjago city I like how the floors line up with the ninjago city it's very detailed and Japanese LEGO brick building is beautiful I'm thinking about getting the temple of arijutizu I know it retired but maybe I'll find it I like the details by far the best for LEGO hopefully LEGO make some expert building that have more outter details like the ninjago theme I put some of the ninjago city on top building of the ninjago dock so it look comparable to the size of the ninjago city

Ninjago dock

I now have all of the Ninjago sets and I think this one is the best to build. Has a lot of features and is pleasing to the eye to look at. Can't wait for the next set to come out. Just about to build Destiny Bounty Ship 70738.
Love these sets.

Excellent set for building

I love these Ninjago modular style buildings, almost as much as the actual Creator Expert modular series. This one easily lives up to Ninjago City with all the amazing details. 

My only criticism is the size difference. It is 50 percent more in length but is only half the height. I wish it could've had maybe just one more floor to look better next to Ninjago City. I would've gladly paid the extra money for it. 

Other than that, it's a brilliant set. I'm really hoping at least one more of these buildings gets made (maybe another corner building to finish the block off?)

An Amazing Addition

Ninjago City is the best set of all time and the Dock is a great addition to it. I hope there will be more additions in the future.

Great!

Took about 10 days to build. Not overly hard nor easy. Very relaxing build. The stickers did drive me crazy, but I did get over it. Great value for the money as compared to Star War Lego sets. Look forward to more Ninjago sets in the future.

Sharp looking and colorful

Such a satisfying build after I was done. And being a girl and a compulsive shopper. I bought both docks without question when they were released. And dudes, after the Airjitzu Temple-- best LEGO purchases I've made. I spent a day on it with a friend, and man, it was a long trying process with multiple snack breaks, some silent crying moments, but totally worth it. I've been in love with the LEGO Ninjago product since it came out. I've been a steady fan ever since, and Ninjago consumer, starting 4 or 5 years ago. I was extremely happy with the intense detailing. So many, too many details. But all the more accomplishment worthy. There are a variety of hidden gems in this set. I was-- ask anyone I could not handle. I'm easily amused but I recommend. There's a pig balloon. And after you finish the water part. Get yourself an ice cream, you deserve it. I was crying into my bowl.

SIDE RANT: However, seeing that they changed the style for the movie and kept the changed style for the new seasons-- of which I slightly refuse to watch for that sole purpose. Also LEGO where is my Seasons 8 and 9 DVD release. I would very much appreciate that. (:

All in all, if you're a die-hard Ninjago fan like I am you will thoroughly enjoy this product.

So satisfying

Great value. HUGE box. Lots of pieces. So fun to build. Very unique use of pieces and quite an enjoyable set. 

There where a few too many stickers for my liking. It really detracts from the beauty of the build.

As noted in a previous review, the baseplate bends up in one spot, which is a little disappointing when you display the set next to any other modular build.

However, the biggest drawback was when LEGO abandoned the nice locking system used to keep the different parts of the building together.

I typically build these modular sets in one area and them move them to another room and combine them when completed.

The failure to lock down the higher levels of this set makes it feel loose and cheap. Two things that I do not associate with LEGO.

The set was great. The build was fun. Plenty of minifigures. I just cant help but think that they cut a few too many corners when designing this.

All in all, this was a great value and excellent build. It is extremely fun to play with. 

The only thing I ask, is that you stay true to the interlocking LEGO System that we all love and expect.

Great buy / Fun build

First of all, I came from Singapore, not South Korea. It just that thats the required field to fill in the country in order to submit this review. Didn't know which country to choose but since South Korea is also a West Asia country, hence thats why.

When pictures came out for this set, i wasn't planning to buy this set, but i went ahead anyways because i had the 70620 Ninjago City and wanted to have a complete collection.

THE BOX
Well certainly, the box came in a reasonable size and have good graphics on it, which i did not even want to break the seal and open it. Also came with a decent number of minifigures.

THE EXPERIENCE
Thats where the reason why i rated this set badly. In fact, it became the WORSE experience that i had ever build out of all my other sets. Starting off, the first step, where we had to place the various water pieces and setting up the base for the building is the only great experience i had when building this set. The rest wasn't quite as good. Thats 1 star deducted from 5. 4 stars remaining.

THE TECHNIQUE STYLE
One thing to note is that the building(Where there is this skeleton figure on display), the wall is easily breakable when you use a moderate force. (I learnt this the hard way, pushed the building for me to carry it and continue building the set, but end up the wall collapse on me). 

Secondly, the modular building that could be removed. First thought, the lower building have these studs to secure the building. Thats good. But subsequently, it no longer uses the studs to hold the upper floors and the roof. It just simply uses 1 by various length plates below the base of the building to secure the set in place, which i do not like and if you do not be careful moving it, the ones not secured may fall and you can imagine the disaster if you were to rebuild it right after you had finished building it. With this, playability deduced 1 star. 3 stars remaining.

MISSING PIECES AND PARTS
Now, this is where i got disappointed. My set, came without the 1 sticker sheet, between number 1 to number 14. Went ahead and place an order under the missing pieces and parts, but a minute after placing the order, got a no-reply mail from LEGO saying they cant send the parts because they check it does not met with their inventory. If it was actually an employee who replied me, i could had proven further, but, nope. They just send an automated email and rejected me straight. Furthermore, 1 1x2 brown tile(The one used on the roof) is missing as well. Since the earlier order was rejected, i dont hope for lego sending me that brown tile. When i checked with my parts, i found i didnt had the 1x2 brown tile too, so now, it just being represented by 2 1x1 brown tile. 
Bad service and missing parts lead to further deduction of 1 stars to 2.

OVERVIEW OF BUILD
Well certainly, the overall look when placed beside the ninjago city is a joke. For the ninjago city, it have this compact look that it really does looks like a busy city. But with the ninjago docks, its just too plain and simply boring to be honest. To me, it just doesnt feel like its a 3500 piece set, furthermore the price tag of $399.90 (Based on the RRP in my country, Singapore). Just feel that the price is moderately ridiculous for a set that came with a handful amount small pieces. Hence, 1 star was deducted, leaving the overall ratings as 1/5.

HOWEVER, since i do like LEGO and cannot admit that MANY of their sets are AMAZING, the best, best best final rating i can give is at most 2/5 stars, fair. 
It just feels like for this set, designers are just putting whatever they could think of to produce this set without effort. I can see that based on the no studs to secure the building part, at the TOP where designing that would be the last. The bottom uses the stud mechanism. I will update this ratings to 3/5 if LEGO personally contact me regarding of the missing sticker sheet and part, but for now, 2/5.
