I don't know much about lawnmowers. But, I like this one. I love the fact that it is battery operated instead of fuel operated. I have a trimmer that uses gas and it makes the storage area smell and it's leaked out before and, of course, it's flammable. So, I really appreciate that. It was easy to set up- tighten a couple of bolts on the handle and insert the battery. Powering it up was a tiny bit tricky, after pressing the power button once and pulling the small bar to the larger bar, you have to press and hold and then release (not just press and release). It's so quiet when it starts up, but it cuts true. I prefer the mulching option, as opposed to bagging it or just spitting it back out. The battery stayed charged for the whole time the lawn was being cut, although it's not a very large lawn. I am very happy with this mower!

Battery Loving It!

Great mower. Cuts great and evenly. The wheels are easy to adjust up and down and the battery compartment is nicely designed.

Wonderful mower

My 14 year old put the mower together for us. Quite simple, directions were well written. This mower is quiet and very light to push. My mom who just had surgery on her foot was able to push it! I love how easy it is to lower and rise the settings for how short you want your grass cut. I will purchase a second battery just to have a back up. I know sometimes we let the grass go especially when we have a lot of rain and thicker longer grass takes it's toll on a battery. So far so good!

Easy to put together

Love this battery operated mower. The battery doesn't last as stated. By the time I'm finished with my front yard it's down to 1 bar on the charge.

Great product

Bought this for myself thinking it would be lightweight and I could push it. Well it weighs a lot and I can't use it so my husband plays around with it sometimes. If you are looking for something easy to push buy a smaller size.

works good

box was in perfect condition from UPS. the front left wheel adjustment already broken. 2/4 wheels wobble and are at an angle. 4/4 height adjustments were loose and different heights after mowing just half the lawn. Battery does charge well and the body is metal. Would not recommend it and will be returning or burning on the next family bonfire. sticking to my electric Ryobi.

I can't recommend that people buy this mower on its overall performance and quality. At about twice the price of a gas mower, it should be a lot better. It often won't turn on, because the lights flash when button is pushed with control arm out. They're supposed to be solid green. It's temperamental. I can work with the situation only because I have a back-up gas mower.

If you need to contact customer service, good luck. It was very hard reaching someone who would admit to making this product--"call MTD; oh, you need Briggs

Reliability shoul be better

battery wearing out too fast. it dies about  every 600 square foot of lawn. it was good when it came in and after 6 months. the battery just dies too fast. it takes 5 to 6 charges to mow my 3-4000 squarefeet yard. it has been really inconvenient.
