The headset I had was a Sades A60 and although it was cheap and had a generic look, it worked great and the mic was praised by a lot of people up until it started to give which was my fault. It wasn't until near the end where I was set on either another A60 or the Cloud Core that I happened to find PowerA's Fusion headset. There wasn't much to go on outside of Amazon's reviews but given the features and the price ($40 at the time) I gave it a shot.
2 months later I'm very happy with it so it was definitely a shot worth taking. I did have to buy an extra cable for it to work on PC upping the total to just under $50 but that was fine with me. I'd say the sound is good and it's also good for gaming (directional sounds and the like). The mic quality has also been receiving a ton of praise and it's removable which is a great little feature at this price point. The volume dial is a convenient feature as well and though I don't use it I'm sure the mechanical mic mute button would come in handy for a lot of people. The only gripes I'd say I have are the area where the mic gets removed has no cover and has a little plastic piece where it gets fastened that would probably make the mic unusable if broken and the leatherette earcups. The earcups are very comfortable and surprisingly don't get hot even after several hours but I do worry about their longevity. The rest of the headset feels sturdy and looks nice despite the all-plastic build.
Since the price of these has now dropped to $20 I would say this is easily and by far the best headset for your money. I don't believe there's any headset out there that can compete with this up to the $50 price point with its features and quality. Just be sure you remember to get adapters and such if needed.
Tight at first, but they break in just fine in just a few days.
Love the volume knob over the left ear, and the mute button on the back left cup is perfect.
You can immediately tell if you are on mute or not, it sticks out a little when you're not.
The removable mic is awesome, you can use the headphones only with any 3.5mm jack.
Love the shorter nylon 3.5mm cord for my controller, but it plugs in both ends, so you can use your own longer one if you prefer.
And best part is, they don't make my inner ears start to have that cramped up feeling like I'm on an airplane, which so many headsets do.
They really don't at all, I'm so happy I can finally game for endless hours with a headset.
Great quality material build, very sharp looking.
50mm drivers sound great.
Can't ask for more, this $40 headset is better than most $150 headsets.
If you want a headset for gaming primarly and some other audio formats on the side, you would be wrong to go with any other headset.
Not hard to see why literally everyone here is rating 5 stars.
Tried them on and audio quality is seriously lacking. Volume doesn't go up too high. Low-end sounds ok but everything else sounds muddy. Microphone isn't too great either. Friends said I sounded static-y and was echoing during PUBG, to the point where I had to keep myself muted because the headset was making unsavory noises for the rest of my party.
Definitely disappointed, thought I found the right headset (something with a detachable aux cable) but with the rough audio quality and bad microphone, I can't justify keeping this product.
