In 1981 Richie, Phil, Sandy, Jay and Debbie opened Richie's Northern Pizza of Auburndale. Our customers were more than customers, they were like family to us. When Phil (my father) and Uncle Richie passed away, we still kept the business going, but in 1999 I decided to sell. To my great surprise, the new owners shut the business down in December 2007. A year later my children convinced me to reopen. After 2 years of fixing up the building and replacing equipment, we reopened in January 2011. Now it's my place, Jay's Place, and our slogan is "Where Everyone Is Family". We serve New York-style pizza and Buffalo Wings as our specialties, along with burgers, sandwiches and pastas. We love our community and we love giving back by sponsoring as many childrens' activities as we can.
