Bill's Barbecue was founded on June 2, 1930 in Norfolk, Virginia by William Steven Richardson, Sr. One year later it moved to Richmond, Virginia, and has remained a one-family owned and operated business for over 80 years. The business is now run on a daily basis by his daughter, Rhoda R. Elliott. Bill's has grown from a one-unit, one-window store, to an eight-unit Richmond operation located between Chesterfield to the south, and Manakin-Sabot to the west. The menu includes a wide variety of moderately priced, quick service items. However, our claim to fame is now, and always has been, a MINCED PORK BARBECUE, CHOCOLATE PIE, AND FRESHLY SQUEEZED LIMEADE. Only quality Virginia hams are used to make the barbecue. The pies are made fresh from scratch each day no preservatives and no artificial ingredients, and each limeade is hand-squeezed into your cup as ordered.
