Al-Baraki

We are proud to be the pioneers in introducing original Lebanese cuisine to the Capital Region. Six years ago we turned our pizzeria on River Street in Troy into a small Lebanese restaurant after friends who had tasted my wife's home cooking encouraged us to do so. My wife, Simone, gave the restaurant the name Al-Baraki, which translates to blessings. After we moved to Albany we decided to expand further, making our unique food available for consumers looking for heart-healthy and delicious fare. Now, in Cohoes, we are packaging and distributing our products to health and specialty stores throughout the region. We have been voted consistently Best Middle-Eastern Cuisine by many local publications, and are still voted number one for best falafel in the Capital Region.Falafel, well-known for its health benefits and its savory flavor, is a vegetarian patty made of ground chickpeas and spices, served with tahini sauce. It also may be served on a salad or wrapped in pita bread with fresh
