This is a light duty rack. It works great as a stationary unit that wont be moved often, however if you plan to fold and unfold it a lot as a traveling stage unit it's going to fail. It's just not built heavy enough for that. The material and welds wont hold up to life on the road. There are no lock washers or locking nuts included with it so a tube of thread lock will likely save you some future "falling apart" problems. I have a couple Gibson guitars with Nitro finishes sitting on mine now for about three weeks and no sticking problems, so the cushion material seems to be finish friendly. It's not built for travel, but at the price it is a good deal for a studio unit.

The problem with this guitar stand, other than it being cheaply made, is the angle at which the guitars must lean. The angle is too great. This causes a need for MORE sq. footage. And so when the stand is against the wall, as most would use it, the stand must sit away from the wall. The two padded beams that the guitars sit on are just too far away. I do, however, like the distance between the pegs, that the necks slot into; but... not all will like this... electric guitars are pretty thin, so there is quite a lot of "gap" between the neck of the guitar and the padded peg. oh well... it works pretty good in the closet with guitars in soft cases. It will do...considering the price. This product is "okay."

This was my 2nd one. My drummer fell on the first one and that was its end. There are some cons. The rubber tubes on the dividers can come off but I just glued them in with silicone glue and they stay put now. You have to watch which direction you set the guitar in the holder if you have your plug on the side. The cross bar can get in the way. Other than that, its been a good unit for me holding 5 solid body basses easily. I like having the extra space of a 7 position holder and converted all my plugs to 90 degree plugs so they all go on and come off easily. A good holder for the money, IMO.

this came unassembled but was extremely easy to put together. it eliminated the need for multiple stands for my guitars which only took up space that i didn't really have. with it also being collapsable its a breeze to storeout of the way when it's not needed. A true value for the $. well worth it as I've spent far more on stands & hangers.

As the stand was inexpensive, I had realistic expectations but it far exceeds anything I expected. For the money it's fantastic and for home studio use its ideal. Two minor gripes, firstly the neck supports are too far apart so the guitar is not held in place so well, secondly the assembly instructions aren't the clearest and as there were additional screws and bolts left, so I thought I'd missed something! However if you are in the market for a stand for multiple guitars, buy this, at the money you can't go wrong.
