The Issue: Safe Spaces for Survivors of Domestic Violence For many survivors of domestic violence, the risk of physical harm doesn't disappear after an abusive relationship has ended. According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, approximately half of civil protection orders obtained by women against partners who physically assaulted them were violated. Sunflower Kids provides safe, monitored spaces where family members who have experienced domestic violence can visit one another without violating court orders. The organization places equal priority on the safety of both children and adults. The Campaign: Supplying Games for Visitation Room If this Grassroots campaign raises $300, then Sunflower Kids can purchase a video-game system and other age-appropriate games and activities for a new family visitation room. Each additional $10 donation will be used to pur
