If your half-grown hydrangeas and wilting wisteria are any indication, your thumb just isn't as green as it could be. Find inspiration in a glorious garden with today's deal from Schedel Arboretum and Gardens, where $5 gets you one adult admission (regularly $10). Situated on W. Portage River South Road along the Portage River, this sprawling estate was once the home of Joseph and Marie Schedel, who traveled to more than 100 countries before bringing to life their vision for a paradise of plants. The Arboretum and Gardens opened to the public in 1991, and are home to an incredible assortment of trees, bushes, vegetables, and flowers, including many rare varieties. Relax in the Rose Garden, peruse the Perennial Gardens, and explore the exotic Japanese Gardens (which feature more than 20 varieties of Japanese Maples). You'll come away ready to create a fall season full of flowers. Want more? Visit Schedel Arboretum and Gardens on Facebook.
