Hi- I am surprised that nobody posted this before. Walmart has a favtastic deal on a Dell i537-3492 computer. You get the computer and a 19" lcd monitor for only $298. It includes windows vista premium, which means that you get a free windows 7 upgrade when it comes out next month. The computer is only available at the store for that price. The computer was originally $498, and is still being sold online for $448. The website says that it is not available in the store. I found out about this when I happened to be driving past a Walmart in Michigan that I had never been to before, and decided to stop in there to look at computers. I did not get it because I wanted to read the reviews for it on the Walmart site. When I decided to get it, I stopped at 2 different Walmart stores, and they were both out of it. I went back to the Niles, IL store a few days later, and they had some more in. One of my sister's lives in New Orleans, and she looked for it there, and the store was out of it. If you don't find it in your local Walmart, come back in a few days, and it might be back in stock. Hope this helps, Nancy

Hi- I just knew that some gamer would say that this computer was junk. This is not the right computer for somebody into gaming, or downloading lots of music and pictures, but it is just fine for somebody who needs a computer to surf the web, check email, and do word processing. It helps that I got ATT high speed internet. One of my sisters has a dell desktop with dialup, and I just hate to use her computer when I go to visit her. She lives in Michigan on a farm, and she cannot get ATT high speed internet at her house, and most of the options available to her are $50 a month, which she is not willing to spend. Somebody just suggested netzero, which is $23 a month, and somebody else suggested that if she gets a router she could sign up for ATT. She tried using a router that ATT gave her, and it did not work. She can get ATT at her packing house, which is 100 feet from her house, but she cannot get it at her house. Hope this helps, Nancy

Hi- How about Window's 7? Would that work for this computer? I get a free upgrade to window's 7 next month. My computer worked just fine until last night, when I tried to sign up for the igive site, and I was able to get on the site, but I was not able to go through the registration process. I am on a computer at the library right now, and I had no problem registering for the site on this computer. For people who have never heard of igive.com, it is an easy way for a nonprofit group to raise money for their cause. Once your nonprofit group signs up with igive, you can register on their site, and a certain percentage of whatever you buy on line at select retailers at select retailers is returned to your nonprofit group. Some of the businesses represented include Amazon, Best Buy, and Abt. Thanks, Nancy
