My girlfriend emailed Kmart today about their double coupons. Looks like you have to buy $25 in groceries and drugstore items in order to get 10 coupons doubled. My girlfriend then asked why only 10, and here is the information she got. The first part is confusing to me, but read on... "here is some additional information regarding the upcoming Kmart Double Coupon Event 7/5-7/11 Important Note: The Kmart advertising for this event indicates a limit of up to 10 coupons per customer per day can be presented for doubling. This messaging is intended as informational for our customers in an effort to moderate the total number of coupons redeemed. This message is NOT intended to be enforced at checkouts by our associates. At no time should a register operator enforce or suggest the enforcement of this limit. Ensure the entire management team and all register operators are aware of this information. " ??? so that means that we CAN double more than 10 coupons, only if the cashiers “let” us? They are leaving the amounts to double up to the cashiers? What gets me is that this looks like “proprietary” information, like maybe we’re not supposed to have this information, but it was leaked anyway by someone from Kmart’s corporate office. What kind of stunt are they pulling, telling us you can only double 10 and then telling the cashiers that that’s not really the limit? These events are starting to wear on my patience. It's not even worth it. First it was 75 coupons, then 25, then 10, then 10 with a purchase of $25, but hey, really, we can accept more, just lie to the idiot customers and tell them only 10 so maybe they won't even bother! I will never return to Kmart. I would rather spend three times at much on groceries than to have to deal with this rubbish with coupons. I am posting this on every forum I can so everyone will know what K-Mart is playing at. Ian
