Details: Apple just lowered the price of their iPod 1GB Shuffle to $49. That's $30 less and the same price they were selling the refurbished shuffle for. Holds up to 240 songs. The new iPod shuffle weighs in at about half an ounce and is less than half the size of the original iPod Shuffle. Enjoy up to 12 hours straight of skip-free music playback.

this isn't refurbished? does anyone know if these are light enough to just let hang around your neck?

these little ipods have a built in clip, so it can hang wherever you want it to hang! It's very light and only a couple inches wide. The clip is pretty sturdy, but easy to lose -- my husband has lost three! Still, at $49, it's a steal!

This looks like the new unit price. Love the shuffle. Our whole family has ipods and we rarely use them in favor of our shuffles. The clip is great and the unit is durable. You might want to consider an AC adapter otherwise you will have to charge the unit on your computer.
