It's very light and only a couple inches wide. The clip is pretty sturdy, but easy to lose -- my husband has lost three! Still, at $49, it's a steal!

Our whole family has ipods and we rarely use them in favor of our shuffles. The clip is great and the unit is durable. You might want to consider an AC adapter otherwise you will have to charge the unit on your computer.
