Package was shipped from Tennessee on the 10th. It traveled 2000 miles to Riverside, CA DHL warehouse on 13th-4 days. For the last 60 miles to my house it is taking three days. On the 11th, they moved package to LA DHL warehouse. On 12th, they shifted the package to another LA warehouse or within the same warehouse. Now it says package is ready for delivery tomorrow the 13th.

Spare yourself the anguish. Use Fedex or UPS.

No offense but if you had a DHL package shipped from Tennessee on the 10th of January and you are expecting delivery on the 13th, sorry to say, but that is not considered slow. Now, if the package was shipped next day air/overnight, yes, you are entitled to a refund, but if your package was shipped via ground, then you should not be complaining. DHL is actually much faster than UPS and no, I don't work for them.

UPS ground is THREE business days from California (Los Angeles) to Seattle. Remember, UPS/DHL/Fed Ex/ do not deliver ground packages on weekends (the post office does on Saturday). Also the first day you ship is not considered one of the days. For example, if I had a package shipped to me from Los Angeles on a Monday, I would not get it here in Seattle until the third day (Thursday).

I have had packages shipped DHL ground from the mid-west and east coast, and have had them in two days. I do a lot of shipping and ship out DHL over UPS as often as I can but don't have much say in how they get shipped to me, but trust me, if you had something shipped from Tennessee DHL ground on the 10th, and you are getting it on the 13th, you should be quite pleased with that.

I ship to Tennessee from Seattle via UPS (when the customer requests it) and it takes seven days exactly to get there (seven calendar days).

Have to disagree with this post. DHL really does suck! I am in charge of shipping for my company. I am forced to use DHL even though I think they are the worst carrier. I have had bids for jobs arrive late that were shipped overnight. One of them was within our state! I called to check on delivery, and was told that it was delayed due to fog in a state about 800 miles north of the requested delivery. it could have been driven to the location more quickly. And oh yeah, no refunds were forthcoming. I will agree that three or four days is about as quick as you should expect a shipment unless you pay the extra for faster processing. If it was my choice, we would never use DHL.

I think K5 is missing the point. For two days, the only activity is them moving around the package in their warehouse. Enough said.

I hate DHL ... Our place here always has to call me because they can not find our house - we live in the city, next to the local college ... this is how they extend their delivery time to area locations by a few days because they are lazy!

Also, two packages have never been delivered to our home, but the company stated they were delivered - after two months of fighting with multiple managers, one driver was fired for forgery and another driver for re-selling delivered items. Again, thanks to my Citi-Bank Credit Card, life has become so much easier!

In my area, UPS is the best and is my personal choice for shippers. Our drivers actually leave all my packages on my porch bench. Fed-Ex is ok most of the time, but they get lost, too. And, USPS never comes to my house ... they leave a 'slip' in my PO Box and have me wait in line to get the package.

I agree DHL is the worst. I had a package sent to me overnight. This package took 15 days, and they argued with me about my address and where I lived.
They are so unprofessional.

I have to agree, DHL is the worst. I was sending back a defective laptop to Dell in Tennessee. I live in Kentucky so assumed it would be there rather quickly especially considering I live only 2 hours from the border (centrally)..... It took DHL 10 days to deliver and on the day it was supposed to be delivered they misplaced it, ended up sending it to some other city within Tennessee. When I called DHL to b*tch about it they said I wrote the destination address down, so looking at my copy of what I had wrote I asked them to verify what I had supposedly put down... they couldnt tell me because they had no clue. When I asked them do you even know where the package is going she said yes than asked me for the address again! Needless to say it finally arrived but I would never use DHL for anything.

I have a business and use only UPS or FedEx. Dependable and reliable.

DHL is simply terrible. It's been a week now - still no package although I was supposed to get it in 24 hours. I wasn't home on first attempt, so I signed the form and requested they leave on the second day delivery attempt. Well, they never attempted delivery again. Here it is a week later, still no delivery. I tried calling their 1-888-2RETURN phone number, and they never answer the damn thing.
