ya know I am not one of the 'in' people. I came to this site for a long, long time , quietly lurking and getting tons of free stuff. After reading some encouragement I went over to the coupon forum and even did a coupon train.

Now that BlondeMoment (henryk) left that whole forum is totally dead. She was the one who encouraged people , started a newbie train and put up awesome posts.

I just wish she would come back or barring that , that someone with couponing experience who is friendly would take over.

I'm very friendly (and furry), and I know how to cut coupons out of my newspaper. Does that count?

Do you cut on the lines, or are they all sloppy and crooked?

Sad but true... I fit in here

I've tried some other coupon sites lately and they just don't fit me. I thrive in this "cesspool"

Sloppy and crooked. They don't make scissors to fit my three finger hands.

I could be your mom the 7 stands for children , which I gave birth to all without any pain meds! :)

It is just that forum seems to be floundering without a leader. I saved up a bunch of box tops for education to send her , someone gave me her address but I was not sure if I should still send them on because someone else put up a post asking for Box tops for education for their special needs school.

It would be nice to clear out alot of the older posts of the first page.

Maybe a post where people could put their name if they are interested in the coupon trains.

I did the newbie train and am so sad that it hasn't even gotten to the end yet. If it is going to take months then the coupons will be expired and I had put in hundreds of dollars of coupons. It should have a 24 hour turnaround or maybe a weight limit, or some standard way to do the mail , so we know up front it costs 3 dollars to mail or something like that.

I think if there was a leader alot more people would join in. Though I really wish she would come back :)

A thread for staples, walgreens, publix etc would be nice also , like one thread per major chain

I know both Blondemoment and Trek come on here and will read this... as for the extra threads... I am not sure if they will be done, but I will be sure to mention it to Trek.

you had stated you started a newbie train, now ya have to have some patience whith those as sometimes those trains get a bit derailed at times because they are new to it, as time goes by you find that the people that are on a lot of trains will get it rolling smoother so don't get down because it hasn't met your expectations yet, eventually it will

Vicky, I am/was Blondemoment I just have multiple online personality disorder right now. is my last name which is why I changed it to pieohmy. A little more anominity that way. I don't want to be or will never again be blondemoment. That name is associated with me modding here and it is just better that the name be laid to rest.

Anyway, I will be around posting in the coupon forum, but don't expect any miracles there. I was the only one that really paid any attention to it and I don't have those type of powers anymore.

oh! I forgot to comment on that I beleive the coupon train you are talking about is mine. If you read a little about trains you will see that they do take a while to come around. Most people put a lot of effort in them and put a lot of valuable coupons in them (I know I do) but then every now and again you will get a bad rider. Please stick with it... the first round tends to weed out the bad riders and the train will get better.

Trek may be able to help keep that forum clean... but it is pieohmy who got that train rolling very well.

okay well now it all makes sense because I kept wondering, why is the train going to pieohmy when she was not on the original list.

Plus I realized it has been 8 weeks so maybe 1 week per person is right?

I think I am going to try another train, this was my first one so when I got it , it was great. That is why I was shocked when someone said there were lots of expireds.

Do you still want the box tops for education?

Plus I find that forum confusing because there is the main forum then the subforums, so it is harder to knwo where to read the posts :)

Yes to the box tops pm a wishlist and I'll see what I have

You think that forum is confusing? I guess you haven't ever been to any of the "new and so-called better" coupon forums ever. They have a different section for everything... one for each and every store! And then 5 or 6 different sub forums just for trading. It is so disorienting and hard to find anything. I could not imagine trying to learn the ropes at one of those sites. I've been couponing for years and cannot get anything out of those sites.
