Incidentally - and I can't believe I never noticed this before - the coupons state "This coupon is valid for one-time use at AE and Aerie stores and AE.com." Now, I wasn't an English major, but I would think if you could only use the coupon once period, it would say "or" instead of "and". The way I interpret this wording, it means you can use it once in-store and once online, not either or. Does that make sense or am I just analyzing too much?

I don't know if the website has a glitch (I do know they recently upgraded their checkout's processing system), but the coupons state "Valid only on purchases of $250usd/$350cdn or less before discount."

Unfortunately, if I had to guess, you won't get the bonus credits for your purchase. The email I got stated "one week only", and with an expiration date of next Friday, the promotion probably doesn't start until today. Sorry!
I wonder if it might count, because I got the email yesterday, and it just says

and "ONE WEEK ONLY" and then "SHOP NOW" .. so I don't think they would've sent the email if it didn't count already? .. just because its really deceiving, and I think they will have a lot of angry ppl on their hands (me being one! cos i did SHOP NOW!) hehe
ae has a bad way of handling their promotions. like the last time when they sent out an emailing say get double credit if you shop by april 16. it never states that your acess pass credit has to be posted by the 16th to get the double points. it just said "shop by the 16th". well long story short i made my purchase on the 14th and i never gotten the double credit. also when you order online, make sure you order a week or two before the quarter ends to get your points. they dont get posted until your order is shipped. so if you're trying to reach the 200pt mark, its a good idea to order early. even if you complain to customer service, they will tell you that points doesnt count if it did not get posted by the end of the quarter.

Yeah, there's always some catch because they're always so vague. Why not say "Valid 4/27-5/4" instead of "now through 5/4"? In my mind, one week is seven days, so if something expires on 5/4 after being good for one week, it means is started on 4/27 or 4/28. The email I got was timestamped around 8p 4/25.
As far as complaining, sometimes things do work out. I'd been fighting customer service for months regarding their tax charges violating PA tax law. I sent them copies of web orders I placed and copies of the law direct from the Department of Revenue's website clearly stating how certain items and shipping can and can't be taxed. All in all, two months later, I got a letter of apology stating their online processing system was being upgraded along with a $40 gift card as a thank you for bringing it to their attention. Such BS...they're only thanking and apologizing because I threatened to contact the attorney general if they didn't do something. Not that I'm complaining about the gift card...hehe.
Slightly simpler, on 3/30, I placed a big order to bump myself from 55 points to 205 points. A few weeks later, I get my rewards coupon, but it's for 10%. I checked online, and it showed 205 points for that period, so something was obviously wrong. I called to complain, and the rep explained blah blah blah end of the month. So she said that she'd forward it to a supervisor and change it so the 150 I earned from the 3/30 order would count for the current period. A few days later, I saw they gave me 150 "adjustment" points along with 25 "customer appreciation" points. Add in some 10-point "thank you bonus" (no idea what this is) and 10 points from the survey, and I'm just 5 points away from 40% without buying anything. Five freakin' points, though. Ugh!
All in all, sometimes it's worth complaining enough. I would say you certainly have a case. If the email says "shop now", then I'd complain based on the email's wording. You never know! Good luck!
