I haven't seen one of them yet, so I can't say how accurate the colors are. As far as the custom tag, this is what the site states:

You can submit a combination of letters, spaces and numbers to create a personal name and number that will appear on your garment tag. While we accept most individual names/messages, we cannot allow every one. Some may contain other trademarks, or names of certain brands, professional sports teams, athletes or celebrities that AE does not have the right to use. Others may contain material that we consider inappropriate or simply do not want to place on our product.

Unfortunately, we may have to decline Custom Tags that may otherwise seem unobjectionable. If your tag is deemed to be unacceptable, your order will not be processed. Additionally, AE reserves the right to cancel any Custom Tags after they have been submitted and you will be notified by email of the cancellation.

I believe the garment tag is the small tag that's attached at the bottom of the shirt's side. It's a little white tag that just has "American Eagle Custom Series Designed For..." then there are two lines for a name/word and two-digit number. It's just a way to make the hoodie uniquely yours.

i finally got the tag thing to work. it would work with a name, but if i added a number it would give me an error message!

so, anyway, if it looks like it did on the site, the custom tag is no big deal. you could just write your name on it with a sharpie for just as good of results!

I heard about this promotion. I'm not sure if everyone gets a gift card, but I would assume in all fairness, everyone would. The gift card could be worth $10, $50, or even $500...or it could be a zero-dollar worthless piece of plastic. Not every card has a value attached to it.

Okay, I got my All-Access reward today, and it did include a gift card, so I can post all the particulars now that I know them.

Incidentally, if you don't want to take the time to head to a store only to find out that the card is worth nothing, it has the usual Gift Card number and PIN that can be entered and checked at 1-877-274-3004. I'm not sure if this comes up with a different amount, though, because it does say the store associate has to scan the card, but essentially, both ways should produce the same amount.

Also worth noting is that although they state the overall odds of winning are 1:926, the actual odds of winning according to the website are:

$500 - 1:292,223 (there are 9 available)
$25 - 1:2787 (there are 944 available)
$10 - 1:1393 (there are 1888 available)

So even though thousands are sent out, only 2841 are winners. You do need to have the card scanned within the contest time frame, though, to be considered a valid winner - if you're so lucky (I wasn't).

Yup, I've never heard of it not working.

And really - since I love twisting fine print - the rewards always state that they're valid for one-time use through whatever date "at AE and Aerie stores AND ae.com". Since it has "and" instead of "or", it means the coupon can be used once at the store AND once on the website. Happy shopping!

Incidentally, for anyone who hasn't received their reward yet, the expiration date is December 11, 2007.

I don't believe it was stated anywhere, but points for contests and whatnot are usually posted just before the end of the earning period. Bonus credits (10 for the Fred Claus contest, up to 50 for the Mall World trivia) will probably be posted around 12/28/2007 since that was the date given for the 25 bonus credits when you put money on the gift card that came with the current Reward coupons.

Just a heads-up for anyone who received one of those gift cards with your All-Access Reward coupons, I just read elsewhere that AE changed the rules. Apparently, so many cards were coming up worth zero, people were calling and complaining, so AE changed it; now every non-winning card is worth "$10 off any $50+ purchase" in-store only. That said, I did get this information second-hand, so I can't say how true it is, but it might be worth a call or visit to your local store to find out. The worst that can happen is they say I'm wrong...or it could be a free $10.

I love your coupons! Thank you so much for posting them! I used to work at AE and loved getting the discounts while working there and hated buying things without a discount because its so expensive. But you make it like I'm getting my employee discount again, thanks so much Sara!

Did anyone try entering this? I did and it said I didn't meet the age requirements to enter. I checked the rules, it doesn't say any. I'm 25 so I thought maybe I was too old, but I entered again with a younger date of birth and it said it again. Anyone get it to work?

Also, does anyone know if we can check our contest gift card balence online, on the AE site? Just curious.
