Details: Home Depot rarely offers in-store coupons online, however you can buy them on eBay for as little as 99 cents from sellers. I just did a search and found over 263 10% off and 20% off coupons valid in-store at your local Home Depot.

Coupon Code: None Needed
Expires: Ongoing

The 20% coupons are a fraud. They were only given to employees at Christmas time. The versions on EBay are copies and Home Depot will not accept them. I have already been down this road. The 10% coupons are copies too, but most Home Depot's will accept them since they are only 10% off. The 20% coupons need a managers approval, that's how they got me.

and what, you're just going to start listing everything that's for sale on eBay, because it might end up cheaper?! WTF?!

I agree. Fake or not, it works. Home Depot will take them at least in my area in Los Angeles. I can tell they they don't want to accept the coupon but they can't refuse. I have used 4 so far ranging from windows, new double door to gardening supplies. Since those items don't go bad, I stock up extra tools and supplies. The doors and window for the later this year.

Like the other guy was saying, you can print your own, no need to go to Ebay Ebay will take you extra 2-3 business day to ship. All you need is a color printer.

So if they are accepting fakes, why even pay for one on E-Bay? I am going to Photoshop the image I get from this link:

They are supposed to take black and white or fake. When they refuse ask them why they aren't abiding by the memo from coporate.

These coupons are a FRAUD!!! The people that are selling them are total scammers. I work for a Home Depot store in the Chicago suburban market and WE DO NOT accept them. Every cashier knows what to look for on the fake coupons. There was no memo from corporate that instructed stores to accept these fake coupons. Perhaps some stores are still not wise to this scam, but more and more stores are learning. Do all the Home Depot stores a huge favor.....take the fake coupons to Loews.

I just went to Loews, like the above "alleged" employee wrote. They not only didn't have the power tools I needed, but they didn't even honor the 20% coupon for their $6 sodas or $12 cups of popcorn. That, and all I received were "funny" looks from the staff of acne-faced 16 year olds.

Your lame spelling, partner, is atypical of, and demonstrates the mental capacity of, the common Home Depot employee which gives way to the reason that by merely changing the expiration date using Photoshop the same said "Duhhhhh" employees are STILL accepting the bogus coupon in the LA area stores. Righteous savings dude.

How do you download the coupon. They wanted money or for me to download some software. Spyware at work won;t allow me.

It really doesn't matter if Home Depot employees can or can't spell. The point remains that the coupons are fake. This is not righteous savings, it is fraud! The expiration dates do not matter, I know we won't accept them at my store.

I bought 5 coupons of Ebay last week for $25. They all have perforated edges and NO EXPIRATION DATE. I bought $300 worth of wood and supplies on Saturday and I got the %20 discount. The cashier asked me where I got the coupon and I told her my sister is an employee in California. (We live in Northern Colorado.

On ebay they have some with expiration dates and others w/o. The auction I bought from said 100% guaranteed or your money back. When I sent the paypal payment the guy told me to let him know if I had any problems and if I did he would give me 100% refund.

Just my experience. If the rest do not work I already saved $60.

I was searching google to see where the coupons originated and found this page.

Any Home Depot 10% or 20% coupon that does not have an expiration date is a fraudulent copy. The only way to get away with using these types of discount coupons is to get a cashier that is not aware of this information.

My HD 20% off coupon had an expiration of 4/30/07. I tried to use it on 6/15/06 in NJ and was refused. The cashier called over the manager for approval. He assured me they were 100% fake and have been going around.

I also have these 20% off coupons that I got from Ebay expiring on 4/30 07.
I have been to the Lowes in Gaithersburg Maryland and I saw copies of these coupons posted on all cashiers desk with a big note that says DO NOT ACCEPT. I spoke to the manager and eventually was allowed 10% discount.
The Home Depot in Aspen Hill Maryland wouldn't even take it. They said these were expired even after I showed them the 4/30/07 expiration.

I just used a 20% coupon ( no barcode) on this past Saturday at HD, no problem at all. I have 3 more too!

I have used them at Lowes, HD, Best Buy and Sears since I found out about them last year, I LOVE it! I had just bought my first house too, YAY!!

Bought a brand new LG steam washer and dryer in October for over $3000 from HD, manager applied the coupon for the whole total, not just the $2000 limit as stated on coupon.

Took another to Sears and after some haggling got them to "match" the 20% on new dishwasher, and she even handed the coupon back after the sale! ( funny thing is they ended up damaging the first, then second dishwasher at the shop so I got 10% off each time for the inconvenience and delay, etc. for a total of 40% off when all was done!)

Keep in mind it is my experience that occasionally each store may have differing "experience and tolerance" w/ these... I just went to a different branch the one time it happened that I was denied locally.

I hate shopping w/out these now, I am always much happier for each dime of mine THEY don't get!

THEY WORK, folks!

That's funny you say that...I'm an employee myself and was considering selling my Christmas 20% off coupon...of course, you can't just print it off, the seller should've sent you the original with the specific barcode on the bottom!! I would use it myself, but to really take advantage of the offer, you need to be a homeowner...and on my pay, renting is the only option!!

I hae the 20 % off coupon, purchase on ebay with maroon strip on bottom. I spent 2400.00 @home depot on Wed and they declined coupon. I have been on the phone for 2 days and have just bben told by loss prevention at Home Depot that these are all frauds. They must have a bar code on them. I had been saving that coupon for this purchase, for all the good it did me. This was in Mobile, Alabama. So buyer beware

I am a manager at the Home Depot as well and will tell you right now that any coupon without a BARCODE on it is not a real Home Depot Coupon. After corporate caught onto this scam they issued a company wide letter telling all stores not to take any coupons without barcodes on them. FIRST thing you look for on these coupons is the COPYRIGHT in the small writing on the coupon. ALL THE FAKES HAVE COPYRIGHTS of 2005 which is the first tell to a fraud. BUYER BEWARE! If you get away with it be humble, if twice then great for you! But don't blame us if we deny you at any time, and DO NOT TELL ME YOU PURCHASED THE COUPON or I will definitely point out the legal writing on coupons are VOID if purchased.

This is just a memo to create awareness that there is a lot of fraudelent activity going on.

"They are supposed to take black and white or fake. When they refuse ask them why they aren't abiding by the memo from coporate."
<---- that memo was sent out on January of 2006 when loss prevention was investigating the problem, stating that "until we can stop it we were suggested to take them until we could legal action could alleviate the problem"

Thus Home Depot now only issues Barcoded Coupons and all others are void.
PS. dont bother copying a barcode and Photoshopping it in, you will not like what happens at the stores at this point :) trust me! It isn't pretty!

Oh yeah by the way. I forgot to leave this tidbit... Ever wonder why the coupons started selling on December of 2005 and were valid for 2 and a half years all of the sudden?

Home Depot is just waiting for someone to reproduce the 4/30/07 coupons into /08 coupons because now they have the legal right to sue the poor bastard that does for damages and copyright infringement. Ebay sellers please be warned that you will probably see Letters showing up from an attorney saying cease and desist. Also known as the dreaded C&D letter.

Although no harm will come to those presenting the coupon at a store, you just won't come away very happy. It's almost like being accused of stealing, and no one likes that.
