the rebate is only good if you sign up for service,

Vonage is the worst service ever. You will have to wait many weeks to get your number transferred. They say they give you a month free, but it may take two months or more to get the number transferred, so you are paying two phone bills. If you try to get out of Vonage after 30 days, they charge you.
