Anyone have a good place to get a Tempur-pedic queen size mattress? It seems that all the places on-line have the same price $1499... Thanks.

Check Ebay. You can find real tempurpedic as well as knock-offs that are quite good. Bought one myself and it is fantastic. About 1/3 the price.

Just thought I would put in my 2 cents. I have always wanted to get a Tempurpedic but could not because they are so expensive. So I went to Sams Club and they sell mattress toppers that are made from the same material. They are abour 3 inches thick and you pur it on top of your existing matress. I was very surprised at how well they work. And they only cost a little over $100

I'm not a fan of all foam mattresses because they are too warm in the summer and you can't sit on them, you sink, specially on the edge. When we looked at the Tempurpedic, we found that the best you can do is a few hundred off. The complaints we heard from other people were that it leaves a deep indentation where you sleep, if you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, it's hard to readjust to the shape as it can take a long time for the foam to expand to normal.

What I got was the Englander Newcastle, a conventional mattress with a layer of memory foam on top. Even though most places had the queen for $2,699, we kept shopping until we got it for half that.

Sam's Club has the toppers?!! I obviously didn't know that. I really want to give this a try and if Sam's has them for only $100, I'll definitely give it a shot.

I went to Sam's Club over the weekend to look at them, and there they were for $99. I went ahead and bought one byt have yet to put it on the bed. I'm really excited, adn thanks for the info everyone.
