Most of you are wrong. The real story is that Seven7 jeans was started in Europe in the 70s and has absolutely nothing to do with 7 For All Mankind. Obviously Seven7 jeans are of much lesser quality and are considered knock-offs by most consumers because of their cheap look. And NO, they are not both made by the same distributor.

Recently Rave Girl store are selling Seven7 jeans $70-80, their Rave Girl 2 for kids sell Seven7 for $40. I think they're fake cuz it's made in Hong Kong. All the forum I've read about Seven7 and Seven for Mankind, either made in Europe or USA, no mention from Asia so I'm pretty sure they're knock offs. Anyone know if this is true? Isn't it illegal for retail stores to sell fakes while marketing them as real, can't get they get sue?

well i just bought myself a pair of seven jeans, i thought that they were the same hing as 7for all mankind but after checking online i realized that they were just two totally different companies, maybe they copied maybe they just have similar names i have no idea. im a little disapointed cuz i thought that they were the same thing but i love them anyway. they are so comfortable they fit real nice and they have a good style to them. so im happy regardless cuz i still find them to be a good brand.

Don't purchase jeans from lowlowwholesale.com. These guys sell fake seven jeans, rock and republic, and tru religion. The pictures that they have online are the real deal but when you make a purchase and receive your shipment the jeans are not worth it! BUYERS BEWARE! When I returned the merchandise the guy attempted to tell me over the phone that his merchandise is authentic. I checked with all of the designers and the company wasn't on their authorized dealer lists!

7 for all mankind and seven7 jeans are totally different and anyone with an eye for quality can tell from a mile away that seven7 jeans are NOT designer jeans but a made in china knockoff. people seem to be really confused about this. I have a friend that bought a pair of "seven jeans" from tjmaxx for $30 and i had to break it to her that they were not the authentic 7 for all mankind jeans we all know and love :)

Like the person stated above, Seven7 jeans are legendary, and have been around approx 40 years (European Market). I lived in Europe for many years ago and can confirm that. 7FAM only began in the U.S. in 2000 by the 'Lucky' jeans guy. Two different companies. From my research, it appears that the 7's in Lane Bryant ARE authentic too, they are a licensee or offspring of the European Seven7 jeans. 7FAM tried to sue Lane Bryant, but lost, because European Seven7 was the original trademark holder.

First of all who cares if the seven jeans are real or fake. If you look good in either style fake or real, wear the jeans and floss them. To be honest the "real" seven jeans are only made to fit someone who is built like a stick, not for women who has voluptuous curves like me. GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SEVEN FOR ALL MANKIND ARE MADER IN THE USA>>>IF U HAVE ANY THAT ARE NOT THEN THEY ARRE FAKES!! they do not produce them anywhere else in the world...there might be other brands that use the number or word seven....but if they do not have the burgundy tags and don't say made in use then they are not real!!
or you bought some inferior brand that uses the same number or word in the title....
