I buy almost all of my DVDs here. I have not been disappointed...fast delivery, and they have a many that you cannot find other places.

Good prices,but slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow shipping! If you can find it elsewhere for a dollar or so more (free shipping included) get it.I've bought from these clowns several times,they take several days to"PROCESS" then your order is gradually shipped via pony express! Last purchase shipped on 8/30 still 9/16 no movie! Only one movie?Don't do iy if you can't wait,the movie will be a Turner Classic by the time you get it!

Well, I have to vouch for the slow shipping as well. The roomate got me to order through these guys and he is pleased except the fact that it takes FOREVER to get here. So I ordered some items on 8/31, an at 9/21 (Yes, almost a whole friggin month!!!) still no items. I am failry disapointed. As mentioned before, if you can get it slightly more expensive then do it... . .unless you like to pay today and use some un-determined time in the future.
Any of you people that recieve these items in 4 - 7 days ever wonder how close you may live to a distribution center? I apparently, live VERY far away from ANY!

Well, assuming everyone here is telling the truth and not being paid by DDDVD to say good things...it would seem that it's a hit or miss thing with the shipping...because I GUARANTEE that they have sloooooow shipping.
The last two DVDs I bought to them took over 3 weeks to get to me and I live in Houston, Texas, i.e., not a rural location.
But I will also say that they had the best price.
So...I suppose as long as I GET the DVD, I'm happy with paying the price of time in exchange for the lowest cost.

The first three times I ordered through deepdiscountdvd I received my dvds in about a week, and was very satisfied. However, I placed an order two weeks ago and it hasn't even shipped yet! It is a little ridiculous, but they still have some of the best deals around.

Great prices, and free shipping, but they are incredibly slow. It's also hard to figure out if something is out of stock, and their online shipping updates are not reliable. They'll give you the information on their "800" call in number, if you can deal with the 30 minute holds.

Yup, when I first dealt with them, their shipping usually took about 7 working days. But it's much longer now, and often orders get split, often coming more than a week apart when all titles were "processed" on the same day. This is reportedly due to shipping from multiple warehouses (per their own representative).
However, they do not have the best selection (more than 25% of my region 1 DVD purchases cannot be found there -- If you deal a lot with anime, HK and European Cinema, you will only find the most common titles).
Apparently their great prices are due to bulk purchasing, so if the title will be hot, they will have it, if only a couple hundred are expected to sell, don't expect to be able to find it here.
Also keep an eye out for discount codes. The last one was for 20% additional discount on your entire purchase, which tallied to an average of 44% off of retail price on my order of about 25 DVDs.
Final word: Deep Discount has never stiffed me on a DVD, even though a few titles have taken up to 3 weeks to get, and with only a couple of exceptions (within 25 cents) their price has been the lowest.
I used to buy from ULN, but when they changed their shipping policy about a year ago, avg. cost per DVD in shipping went from ~$1.10 to about $3, and they deliberately split my final order into individual DVDs (since there were 12 DVDs that's over $30 in shipping, and my last disc still has not been shipped).

Yep, sloooooooow shipping.
I ordered two titles two weeks before Christmas and paid for the fast shipping. It took a week for them to PROCESS, and ended up not even shipping until the day before Christmas. Needless to say, I did not get them in time. And they in fact didn't even show up for another week after that. I was NOT pleased.
They definitely have the best prices around, but don't use them if you are in any sort of hurry. The service is just not dependable.

Two days ago I checked on DeepDiscountDVD for WINGS OF DESIRE (DVD) the price was $7.18 today it is $9.12 for the same dvd as far as I can tell. Is this a common practice of theirs?

I've never had any problems with shipments from DDDVD. If you think you've waited too long for a DVD to ship, try dealing with DVDSoon.com. The last time I ever dealt with them was when I PRE-ORDERED Beauty and the Best, and was still waiting for it a month after it had been released.

Don't be fooled by the other posts here, their shipping is atrocious!
I live less than 25 miles from their warehouse (Itaska Illinois) and it takes 18 days using the free shipping.
I have switches to buying the movies from Walmart.
Walmart's pricing is usually within a dollar of DDD's and you can watch it that night.

I've been a very happy customer of dvdsoon.com for a couple of years. Shipping has been slow, but nothing terrible, besides, it was good to save the money when buying from the UK.
However, since they changed their payment system over, they've had $170+ credit on my account, of MY money, and haven't shipped a single item since August 2005 - so only 4 months' wait then...
On top of that, their phoneline directs you to their email address, to which no one responds, so I guess they're just thieves now.
DON'T GET BURNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dunno what's up with y'all's postal system but any time I've ordered from DeepDiscountDVD (Or CD, for that matter!) the order arrived sooner than expected. I used free shipping and it still arrived within three days!

I've ordered from deep discount dvd and I didn't have a problem with them. They are the only company online that I purchase movies from so far. Also, keep in mind that it's not always the company's fault as far as the mail goes. I've had stuff shiopped out to me on time before but due to the mail system it came later. Once it leave the company's hands I feel that it isn't their responsibility unless it gets lost and needs to be replaced.

Shipping to Long Beach, CA typically takes between 6 to 12 days. But free shipping + low prices makes them the only place I buy DVDs or books anymore.
