Does anyone have a telephone number for these jerks! I have sent many unanswered e-mails to these thevies without a response. I called 321 studios they say they have no telephone number for the rebate center. Called the jerks @ compusa where I purchased the item. They conect me with the rebatecenter.com which has nothing to do with DVD X Copy.

What address did you send the rebate to? (That might provide some info to help find a correct number to call).

I and my brother had a problem with them about 6-8 months ago. I went to the library and looked up info on them. I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General of the state they are located in. I then mailed them copies of my filed complaints. I don't remember if I found a phone number but will look and post if I do. I did keep calling the rebate number about every 2 days. I also looked up the home address for CompUSA. I think it is in Dallas and mailed them a copy of the info wrote them a letter stating how I felt they were responsible for seeing that I get the rebate since they are selling the product. My brother did not do the above and eventually he got a partial rebate but never the full one. I got the full one. It was in 2 seperate checks mailed a few weeks apart. I will see if I can still find my info and post it for you. I really get angry when these companies treat us this way. Where would they be without us the customers???????? that buy all the products. I ususally get responses when I have problems with rebates for companies when I follow the above procedure but it is rediculous to have to go to these lengths to get what we are due.

Regarding the $79 Xcopy Platnium make sure it is the full version and not the new post lawsuit version without the ripper. If it is the latter it is nothing much more than a simplified version of DVD shrink (FREE).

If it is the full version, and your time is valuable and computer video commpression skills aren't, it is a good buy. Considering 321's problems now I would not count on a rebate.

I too am having problems with this company. I bought DVDXCopy and MS Office in October 2003 through a bundle being offered from CompUSA with a $55 and have not reciveved my rebate. The rebate fulfillment is through 321 Studios and called them multiple times. According to them a batch of checks was "lost" in December (sure!) and three months later after my first call in Dec 2003 I still have not recieved it after numerous calls (6 months after my rebate submission).

While their products were pretty good for their early versions of all in one decrypting and burning, I would stay away from any rebate offereings directly from 321! I will not be buying anything from this company again and will stick wtih the very slow Instant DVD or free DVD Shrink.

Time to get the CC company, BBB, and FTC involved.

When you file complaints send 321 Studios copies of the complaints.

Try writing to Comp USA home office. It helped me once a couple years ago.

321 told me that they had not received my mail. For some reason, I could not find the copies I made of the UPC code & rebate coupon. (Murphy's Law)
J&R, the merchant I bought the Platinum copy from, assisted me in procurring my rebate. Finally, 321 offered $80 towards another purchase, a gift certificate for someone else, or the $40. There is a phone no., but I'd have to get back to you.
J&R assured me from the beginning that they would make sure that I received my rebate. I was aware that 321 had legal problems. Actually, 321 said that they did not have a rebate, but it turned out that it was a special between 321 & J&R. I paid about $89 with the ripper. I had problems with my proprietary DVD burner, 321's tech service sent me a link to a patch. I only own 3 DVDs, but one is a dual layered protected DVD, and it copied perfectly to one disk!
Go to 321Studios on-line and there is a phone no; it is long-distance. There is a link for your rebate status.
When I checked my rebate status, I was under the impression that it was pending, but after e-mailing them, I was informed as I described above, that they had not received my documents.
You may have to scan a copy of your UPC, receipt, and other documentation.

Here's the information. I just selected the $40 rebate instead of the $80 credit.

PS Forgot to add that I did have a copy of the on-line receipt from J&R and a scanned copy which I e- mailed to 321 using MSN Premium's picture function. At first, they said they could not read the documents, so I enlarged the photos. I also forwarded the copy of J&R's e-mail confirmation to them.

I finally got my rebate a few weeks ago form my submission in October 2003! I had to do a lot of work do get the $55 rebate between multimple calls and emails over the past few months and not too happy with the way it was handled by 321 and will never do a rebate with them again and will think twice about buying their products again (I have an early version of DVD Express which is a great product and easy to use).

Good luck to all!

I find this most interesting, as I was also awaiting my rebate and it looks like they won't even process your rebate until you go to their website and SUBMIT a selection. No where on the rebate form did it say to do this.

Oh, no I just lost my post.
I believe that the rebate coupon instructed me to register the rebate on-line, then of course I had to send the UPC, copy of receipt, and other documents via mail. When I checked the status of my rebate it seemed as if it were pending. However, it had been over 8 weeks, so I called & e-mailed. I was told that they had not received my rebate documents. I even saved a screenshot of the on-line status which I sent to J&R. Gosh, if I had not called or e-mailed 321, I might have waited forever. I believe there are laws that companies must send your money w/in a certain time-frame.
I e-mailed them a cc of my receipt (could not find the copy of the UPC code, the printout is on this desk somewhere) and J&R assisted me, too.
FGS, I had to register my product to use it!
Their tech service was great. With the proprietary DVD writer, I have problems with any CD/DVD writing program. Their tech found the patch.
This PC is going back to HP (thanks to Sam's Club manager) to fix that & other problems.

PS look on the previous page for the link.
One thing I've learned over the years, always make copies of everything before sending in the rebate. In this case, my scanner was not working and I had to copy the docs at Kinkos. I later scanned the receipt, which I also had e-mailed to me from J&R. Somewhere on this desk I do have the ccs of the docs.
Anyway, I selected the $40; I could have given someone an $80 gift certificate or towards another selection, but decided on cash.
Actually, 321 did respond to my inquiries, but I kept sending ccs of my receipt via MSN enhanced mail and they said they could not read it!!

why would you waste your money on a crapppy program that is not compatable with many dvd burners, you should use dvdshrink and nero to copy your disk and its free.
